God is slow to anger, this is not up for debate. Do you have children, if so do you love them, when they make a mistake are you ready to jump all over them, especial if they knew better, not likely, Even if they hurt you, when you can see that are truly sorry, that they re great what they did, can you hold back forgiveness from them? . God created you out of love, not anger.
