I DO NOT WISH TO OFFEND ALL CHRISTIANS WITH THIS QUESTION.... I AM JUST CURIOUS ABOUT SOMETHING?
I see a lot of so called christians on here....I say so called because they spit out hate and lies day after day for months on end....I have a question regarding ones like them....
How long will your god keep forgiving them?
Will he ever tire of them saying one thing and doing another?
They say they ask for forgiveness and five min later they are spitting hate on someone else! Surely that cannot be classed as repenting and being ok in your gods eyes?!
What if they continue on like this until they die?
What if they did this every day of their lives except the very last one?
Please help clear this up for me!
Thanking You!
Blessed BE!
Ariel

the documentary last night on the Jena High School situation? What are your thoughts? It was very reminiscent of South Africa during the apartheid era. Yet again the church is at the heart of injustice

THERE was ruin and terror in Manhattan, but, over the Hudson River in New Jersey, a handful of men were dancing. As the World Trade Centre burned and crumpled, the five men celebrated and filmed the worst atrocity ever committed on American soil as it played out before their eyes.

By 4pm on the afternoon of September 11, the van was spotted near New Jersey’s Giants stadium. A squad car pulled it over and inside were five men in their 20s. They were hustled out of the car with guns levelled at their heads and handcuffed.

In the car was $4700 in cash, a couple of foreign passports and a pair of box cutters – the concealed Stanley Knife-type blades used by the 19 hijackers who’d flown jetliners into the World Trade Centre and Pentagon just hours before. There were also fresh pictures of the men standing with the smouldering wreckage of the Twin Towers in the background. One image showed a hand flicking a lighter in front of the devastated buildings, like a fan at a pop concert. The driver of the van then told the arresting officers: “We are Israeli. We are not your problem. Your problems are our problems. The Palestinians are the problem.”

Adams signed the Treaty of Tripoli (June 7, 1797). Article 11 states:

"The government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion."

From Jefferson's biography:

"...an amendment was proposed by inserting the words, 'Jesus Christ...the holy author of our religion,' which was rejected-----'By a great majority in proof that they meant to comprehend, within the mantle of its protection, the Jew and the Gentile, the Christian and the Mohammedan, the Hindoo and the Infidel of every denomination.'"

"Christianity...[has become] the most perverted system that ever shone on man....Rogueries, absurdities and untruths were perpetrated upon the teachings of Jesus by a large band of dupes and importers led by Paul, the first great corrupter of the teaching of Jesus." --- Thomas Jefferson

"Religion and government will both exist in greater purity, the less they are mixed together." -- James Madison

An all-loving creature would do everything in it's power to be close to the one's they love. Since god is all powerful then why can't he not just forgive every sin if the person has a good heart?

Either he doesn't love the one's who don't believe or he's malevolent for sending those he loves to Hell for such a trivial matter of not worshipping him.

I think missionary / evangelizing is a very egotistical line of work and most people become missionaries for entirely superficial reasons --self recognition, or to be seen as a savior of a poor struggling community, --kind of a mini-fame if u will, and basically to stroke their own ego and feel holy.

Do you agree or do you think I am FULL OF S***???

Sometimes there are a few great insights from christians but not that often.
The debate is not about God the debate is about how ridiculous the bible is

I was having a conversation today. My friend said that no matter how good the Atheist was, they would not go to heaven (she is Christian). So my question is, if one of the following were to go to hell, which would it be...

1. A nun who has devoted her entire life to the worship of God. A life spent in prayer and near solitude in a convent somewhere removed from society in general.
2. A Christian, who attended church weekly, and bible study, married a fellow Christian, raised 4 Christian children. Protested on weekends about the evils of homosexuality and petitioned for the removal of the theory of evolution from the school syllabus.
3. An Atheist who spent their entire adult life volunteering in Africa, helping save lives. Not getting paid, living in near squalor. Gunned down by the rebels.

So to the point of this question - Do people go to hell based on their beliefs or their actions (assuming of course that God and hell etc actually existed)?

Firstly I would like to say i'm not the sort who goes to church every sunday or anything like that. But I don't see the harm in people beliving in anything they want, I mean there not hurting anyone, so why all the negitive, (and like I said) prejudice comments?

I admit that it is annoying when you get people hammering on you door, trying to push there beleifs on you, but thats what there doing on here, (but with much worse language)

I see so many questions on here saying how stupid or whatever, but I say live and let live.
If thats what people want to do with there life, then let them, if there wrong then how does that affect anyone elce?

I would be interested in opinions from all sides, not just a one sided argument.

(any racist / derogatory remarks will be removed)

If you are an athiest or christian I would highly recommend watching his seminar if you can find someone who has it to borrow it from. It is VERY expensive to buy, so I borrowed it. It has almost any answer you could think of regaurding scientific theories and Christianity and also includes Fact and Evolutionary theories, (there is none) sorry evolutionists. It is so informative, it's incredible! You could answer almost any dispute by watching it. Ken Hoven was a science teacher for I think 20 years or so, and is a Christian and has dicovery theme park called Dinosaur world. You can find more info at www.drdino.com. If you've watched it: What did you think? Where you as amazed as I was at the information and power of his teachings? Everything made perfect sense and is referenced from many different sources.

Scenario: A horrible, drug addicted, evil woman gets pregnant. This woman has no business being a parent and is the type of person you wouldn't even want having a pet. What do you think would be worse:

1. For her to have an abortion
2. For her to have the kid and abuse and neglect it.

There is no option C. I am not of the opinion that abortion is right or morally ok. I am of the opinion that we should get over our fear of teaching our kids about birth control and get out there and prevent unwanted pregnancy. My personal opinion is that our abstinence only culture causes a majority of these scenarios. What do you pick?

What is the typical role of an Auxiliary Bishop serving under an Archdiocese? It seems more priests are Vicar Generals than Bishops, so do they do other administration?

And can they say mass in the Cathedral? What can they do? I read the Wiki entries.

just sent to different peoples at different times, with the message that those people needed at that time... and the "differences" in the religions were because of the different time and place of the revelation, or because >people changed the religion over time... how would that affect the world today?

Matthew 7:7 Jesus says:

Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

Matthew 17:20 Jesus says:

For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.

Matthew 21:21:

I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask

In Islam Messiah does not mean God or son of God.

Abraham was chosen to be a Great Prophet of the Creator of the Universe.

Abraham had two sons who were both to be blessed with a Holy Covenant at separate times.

The Holy Covenant are promises from The Lord of Abraham in return for taking on the responsibility to "Make Allah/God known to the World" and establishing the “laws of God” on the Earth.

God sent down many Prophets to the Israelites but they would keep calling them imposters and killing them.

Finally God sent down the last Israelite Prophet who would come in a way that nobody could say he was an imposter.

He would have a miracle birth, miracle cures and a blessed speech. If the Jews believe in this last Israelite Prophet then God would forgive them, so Jesus was sent as their Messiah (redeemer and uniter of the Tribes).

If the Jews believed in Jesus as their Messiah, God was going to forgive them for slaying all the Prophets in the past and save them from an Eternal curse.

Those Jews who denied Jesus was the Jewish Messiah will be sent a False Messiah near the last days as a final chastisement after the Lord gathers them all into one small area.

Muslims have a seperate covenant through the the first son of Abraham - Ishmael .

Muslims are not dependant on a Jewish Messiah for atonement or guidance.

Muslims are independant of the historical rebellion of the children of Isaac.

Why did Christians change the original meaning of “Messiah” ?

Could we today?
Foxes book of martyrs points out historically that, at the instigation of pagans and philosophers---uncounted multitudes of Christians were horribly and gruesomely tortured for their faith. Even though it was noted that their victims aided the poor, gave of their possessions, would not steal, or murder, or commit adultery. Their only crime in being put to death was their faith. Could we endure that today? Would we be strong and not renounce our faith? Have we any right to say we are strongly persecuted today? Have a great day.

Overnight Islam will be the only Abrahamic faith for all the world after millions of Christians enter and follow Jesus the Jewish Messiah.
