They will accept a long paraphrase on a Bible topic, but will not take the same idea in a short direct quote. Is this not strange; even a little weird?

Or is it just not talked about as much as compared to Christianity and other faiths

I'm looking for more than they're going to hell, (the Christian answer), or they just rot in their graves, (the atheist answer). They have souls like everyone else but if they don't believe in the Afterlife how can they reach the other side?

Just take it all. Why pretend like that's not what we really want anyway? I say let's just conquer it with one big push instead of this slow, indirect sneeky, much worse for the Palestinians, methodical way. Why not say, we want the land, it's ours, and we're taking it. Conquer fair and square. We all know that's what were intending to do anyway.

You see the living conditions of the Palestinians, it's horrible. People shouldn't be living like that. Especially the people in the Gaza Strip, do them a favor and free them from they're concentration camp. Their just not leaving no matter how bad we make they're conditions and I feel sorry for them. Let's help them.

Better to just be honest than all this shady stuff that we're doing, no?

The more I read into it it seems that a whole christians life, and death are suppost to be used to glorify god. It seems that you refain from doing what you might want to do because it's "sinful". It just seems your limiting yourselves in my opinion.

I'm asking you what you think.

In other words, within yourself, how do you handle the questioning of your belief that other Christians present?

How does your Christian community handle the external criticism?

How do you handle the dialogue with those who strongly disagree with you and may even think you are therefore a bad Christian?

And how do you depict the multitude of inter-faith controversies when discussing Christianity with non-Christians?

In what way is all of this a depiction of God at work in the world?

help me with a problem I’ve had for some time now. I don’t know if it’s possession or not, but it’s likely. When I’m alone, I can pray. But when I’m in church, when the whole place is full of the Holy Spirit, I can’t pray… I can’t pay attention… I feel this battle in me between my urges inside and some nameless something to NOT do it (it being speaking in tongues, or just praying aloud, or praying period sometimes, or singing in church, or lifting a hand in praise, or falling to my knees in worship, etc.). Sometimes, when my fiance and I get into huge fights, I suddenly get depressed for no good reason and fall catatonic. Now this particular problem is getting worse. Usually, I hear and see and remember what goes on. But tonight it happened again. I was standing outside by my fence…and that’s the last thing I remember. I “woke up” leaning over on the little bench in front of my driveway against the house. According to my fiance i was motionless and catatonic. I remember nothing.

Christians say, we hate Muhammad because:

He fought battles- read the Bible, sooo many of the Prophets fought battles, eg. David and Solomon

He had more than 1 wife- its easier to name the Prophets who didnt have more than 1 wife.

He married Aisha when she was quite young- please read how young Isaac's wife was when he married her.

He rejected the trinity, and preached monotheism- ALL of the Prophets preached monotheism, and none of them, including Jesus, preached the trinity.

'And indeed (many) Messengers were mocked at before you (O Muhammad SAW), but I granted respite to those who disbelieved, and finally I punished them. Then how (terrible) was My Punishment!' (Qur'an 13:32)

The notion of St. Peter waiting at the Pearly Gates (as depicted in secular movies, comics, etc.) seems entirely unbiblical to me. Does anybody know where this idea developed?

I was wondering if anyone knows of some colleges in the US that offer BS or PhD degrees in evolutionary biology or evolutionary psychology. I was thinking about asking this on the Y!A university section, but i figured most atheists probably have degress in one of these two fields and could give me a quicker response. thanks!

What about Him doesn't make you believe, specifically? Why couldn't Jesus be The Saviour that was prophesized? Doesn't He fit the bill perfectly? If you are Jewish, have you read The New Testement?

Christians, doesn't Jesus even give a few referances to The Old Testement about His coming?

Acts 15:28-29 says, "it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no other burden than these necessary things: that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols and from blood and from what is strangled and from unchastity."

Or do you just ignore everything they say no matter how logical it may sound.

I'm not an Athiest or anything but sometimes these people have a point.
i sometimes try and find the connection between their logic and my faith.

You know, we hear about how allah threatens to kill those who challenges it and how allah says that those who abandon islam will die. About how allah boasts of its ability etc etc. But all we see is muslims killing innocent people, so let us stop for a moment doing these evil work for allah and getting condemned instead. Let allah do its own work for once.

Well, I have tried this and I think you should too. You must be brave enough though if you want to save your own life.

Say this to allah "Cursed be to you allah, you have misled so many people to join you in hell may you and muhammad burn for eternity in the fires of hell. If you have so much power, I challenge you to put me to death this minute. Tell you what, I give you more grace period. Up to tomorrow morning! If I wake up tomorrow morning alive, it means you're a piece of crap"

I have done it many times for so many years, and I'm still alive! Do it. Don't live in regret.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He [She] that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24 So those who hear the words will get into heaven, but what of those who were not privy to be in the middle east at the time of jesus ? Or of those that this passage speaks of 2 Cor 4:3-6 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
How can god only speak to a select few, but claim that he wants to save everyone ?
