No children don't care about that! It's their parents and grand parents who worry their little souls are being held hostage.

Original sin, as I understand it, is the heretical notion that I am guilty of the sin of Adam; I am NOT! I am guilty of my OWN sin. Really, the truth is more that we are born with a bent towards selfishness and self centeredness that will eventually result in outright sinfulness upon conscious awareness of the difference between right and wrong. As for adding to the treasury of the church, I think we can despise the catholic church of the dark ages without discarding all truth.

I believe that children are not held accountable with this whole "original sin" business. One has to make a conscience choice to sin. Children don't understand the difference between right and wrong until they are a certain age, so God does not hold them accountable for what they do not know is wrong. God "winks at our ignorance" (Acts 17:30). So, in the case of children, God does not hold them accountable for their sins until they are old enough to realize what sin is and what is right and what is wrong.

Death is the penalty for sin, and since all humans are liable to die, than all have been affected by sin in some significant way.

This is the nature oif original sin, which is a fact of life, and is not subject to any "age of reason" exceptions, as some erroneously theorize.

yes much like proper etiquette. Etiquette was created by pranksters who thought it they made it ridiculously hard to eat , it would be funny. So they taught their kids to those ridiculous rules, but then they died when they saw their kids beating other kids for not doing the same. The autopsy was that they were laughing and rolling on a woolly carpet, and died because they created the largest static electricity shock ever recorded in faux history.

I wish it was only just a cruel trick.

Instead it is one of the most horrendous and evil concepts to ever stain the face of human history.

It was Paul of Tarsus, not Jesus that came up with purely wicked concept of condemnation. In fact when christians, particularly Catholics quote "scripture" it is almost exclusively Paul they quote.

Jesus founded the Nazarenes, also known as the gnostics.

However, the Sadducee High Priests with Paul of Tarsus created the parasite religion called christianity to deceive even those who thought they follow Jesus.

+++WWJD? What would Jesus do?+++

Jesus would condemn the concept of original sin as yet another example of the evil and length to which the Sadducee and ancient satanists were prepared to go, to twist things.

He would pray that people could be freed of such cult and destructive beliefs.

He would ask that people cease to claim such ideas in his name, when clearly they quote Paul with such ideas.

can you name one unorginal sin?

original sin only makes the original sinner the sinner

yet we inherit the ability to sin if we chose to -before the original sin we would have lived forever in the garden of eden and walked with God in the cool of the day as Adam and Eve did till they sinned

this is how i got rid of my original sin-i got the original savior as my best friend="There is pleasure in sin for a season, but then cometh the judgement." "you reap what you sow."

I say sow good seeds for tomorrows needs

this is how I came to believe as a Jew and got the highest high-Because if Jesus cant get you higher than whatever your on-you never found Jesus yet-Isaiah 26:3&4 =perfect peace -even for a backslider Psalm 51
this helped me may it help you too=the prince of peace "Unto us a child will be born, a Son given, and he will be almighty God and the prince of peace." Isaiah 9:6

works for me=accepting Jesus gives us the power not to sin-then sin becomes a choice-with power and reward doing right and correction from Jesus if we chose to do wrong=and for help in your heart=once you confide in God it will be a new start for you even in this matter with guidance -and this is a key to life-what changed me and took away my route to hell even for one lie that I wouldnt ask forgiveness for, to torment forever and irresponsibility in my life till then=in Jesus care, how i learned to give things over to Jesus and pray better="Jesus help me, I am sorry for my sins, even one lie, come into my heart and help me, be my friend, amen." Revelation 3:19&20 Jesus says I love you and to turn to me, repenting and ask me into your heart door and I will come in and become your friend."

prayed and praying for you friend peace in the prince of peace

Yes, it's a form of child abuse to make people feel guilty before they have done anything
