pray for God's timing and then know that if you are to be married, whatever his timing, that person is out there, experiencing life, struggles, stresses , temptations, etc.
Pray for that person that God has chosen for you as you would pray for a friend. Pray about their character, that they may grow in and display the fruits of the spirit in their life, pray for them each day, that they may overcome the temptations that come their way and that they would also operate in God's timing, that they would grow in wosdom , knowledge and maturity- knowing that though you do not know who it is, God does and He see the end from the beginning

I'm going through the same thing. You pray to God about a spouse like anything else. Our time is not god's time. How long has it been.I've haven't seen anyone since 2005. It can get hard. Surround yourself with people that has strong faith. Find faith verses and quote them, put it on your refrigerator, in your car. When a person start to surround themselves with good things, the bad thoughts die of starvation. Oh yea make sure you pray for a god-fearing spouse.

You'll probably see this one several times. But I am first!

What we pray for will only happen in the time that God has it planned for us. Everything else leads us up to those milestones that he has planned for us even before we were born.

Hang in there. I remember praying for a spouse for several years before my prayer was answered. Perhaps she has to go through some growing up of her own before she can be prepared to fully appreciate who you are. Even though you may not have met yet, give your future spouse the time that the Lord has in mind.

Wish you the best!

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. It takes more faith to believe in what is not physically in front of you that can be felt, seen,, and heard.
I waited for the answer to my prayer for nine years. I am not saying it will take God that long to answer your prayer, but it did take God that long to make me a suitable husband and my wife the perfect woman for me.
The point is do not try and be a hero! If you go out and try to force the issue, you will only end up with the wrong person and a whole lot of emotional scars. Besides, God does work behind the scenes that we do not ever know about.
So Pray and pray really well and leave it in his hands. You do not have to beg to be blessed. God wants to bless you.
P.S. - I met my girl at Church!

A very wise Christian told me when I was single not to pray to get a mate, but to pray to be made ready to be a gift to a mate. When I could honestly pray that I would be happy to be with someone who had the same honesty, fidelity, and and trust in the Lord as I had, then I would be ready for a mate. Has a non-believer I always held a much higher standard for my partner than than for me on all of those qualities.

Try praying for Gods will to be done....and see to it that you follow gods will, by doing the next right thing put in front of you. Help others, give freely of yourself...it is when we allow the sunshine of the spirit in and we are willing to live in Gods Will, not our own that great things come to pass.
Have you ever given any thought that perhaps you are not ready for a spouse? One has to learn how to love self before they can sincerely love another. Work on your spiritual life....
when God sees you fit, the opportunity will come..
Bless You
Blessed Be!

pray something like, "God, in Your time, please send me someone who i could trust and love. Let them be the one I marry. Whenever it is Your will, send me confromations." something like that. God will send you someone in His perfect time and when that happens, it will be better than you think. Don't listen to that person who said you're not suppose to pray for selfish things. Praying for a spouse is not selfish at all. It is not God's will for you to be alone in this world. Just He has a time and a place for everything. You should read in the bible where Abraham is praying for a spouse for his son isaac. that should help give you some faith. :) good luck and God bless

Pray for the will of God above all. You should be content with whatever God gives you, wherever he brings you.
