just sent to different peoples at different times, with the message that those people needed at that time... and the "differences" in the religions were because of the different time and place of the revelation, or because >people changed the religion over time... how would that affect the world today?

There is only One God Almighty.
There is only One Religion and one basic message.
God Almighty sent almost 124,000 Messengers and Prophets in different time, different places, on different people with one basic message, that is worship one true God, and teachings according to that time and gradually completed religion with the final book after Torah, Zaboor, Injeel, and Finaly Qura'n, revealed respactively on Prophet Moses, David, Jesus, and Muhammad (Peace and blessings of The God Almighty on all of them).

This question can't be answered because not all religions' concepts of God are either compatible or mutually inclusive. For example, I've seen a lot of questions on here as to whether the God of Christianity is the same as Allah of the Q'uran--and given the differences between what each book teaches about who God is, they can't both be right. For example, the God of Christians is triune in nature, existing eternally in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, and Jesus is the second person of the Trinity and is God incarnate. The Q'uran teaches that Jesus was just a prophet and that He is not the Son of God. Both of these things can't be true, so not all revelations or what people believe are revelations are true if they contradict other ideas about God. I believe the Bible provides the only consistent picture of who God is and how we relate to Him, and that perspective will necessarily exclude doctrines that contradict and cannot be reconciled with the Bible.

The first link below gives information on various religions and how various groups' beliefs compare and contrast with the message of the Bible. I hope it's a useful resource for you. If I can answer any questions you may have, feel free to e-mail me at chad@jesusfreak.com.

Are you sure you are asking the question that you intended to?

I ask as it appears that you have answered your own question.

To wit: the 'differences' in religions ARE because of the different time, place and people the revelation was given AND because people changed the religion over time...

...ending up with the way the this, and/or the situation that you see in the world today!?!?!?!? Or, it has effected the world in the way that you see it today!?!?!?

GOD Laws are made of three Books: The Old Testament, The new Testament and Quran as a conclusion all originated from the middle east. How can you understand GOD LAWS with out reading GOD Conclusion?
"Say: we believe in God and in what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il: Isaac, Jacob and The Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another, among them, and to God do we bow our will (in Islam)." (Qur'an, Al-Imran 3:84)

Jesus did not bring us a religion. He showed us what a life lived in harmony with the Spirit of truth inside us would look like. We must return to the faith delivered to the saints if we want to experience the kingdom of God.

Isn't that the case with these three Biggies? ... No Difference.

“All three of our major religions -- Christianity, Islam and Judaism -- have a hateful idea at the very core. That idea is Exclusion: the "othering," if you like, of the unredeemed.” -- Matthew Parris

I like that idea.

I don't think it would affect the world differently because then they would fight about, well my religion is the newest so it is right, no it isn't yours is a fake religion.

that thought is not possible with judeo religions...end of story!

However, many eastern religions accept this as their view for the many religions. They see it as pathways to the one god, now that is true universalism!

What you're inquiring is nothing but speculation, and we can't base a faith on speculation. The fact is, God gave us His words, long ago. And that is what we go by today.
