In Islam Messiah does not mean God or son of God.
Abraham was chosen to be a Great Prophet of the Creator of the Universe.
Abraham had two sons who were both to be blessed with a Holy Covenant at separate times.
The Holy Covenant are promises from The Lord of Abraham in return for taking on the responsibility to "Make Allah/God known to the World" and establishing the “laws of God” on the Earth.
God sent down many Prophets to the Israelites but they would keep calling them imposters and killing them.
Finally God sent down the last Israelite Prophet who would come in a way that nobody could say he was an imposter.
He would have a miracle birth, miracle cures and a blessed speech. If the Jews believe in this last Israelite Prophet then God would forgive them, so Jesus was sent as their Messiah (redeemer and uniter of the Tribes).
If the Jews believed in Jesus as their Messiah, God was going to forgive them for slaying all the Prophets in the past and save them from an Eternal curse.
Those Jews who denied Jesus was the Jewish Messiah will be sent a False Messiah near the last days as a final chastisement after the Lord gathers them all into one small area.
Muslims have a seperate covenant through the the first son of Abraham - Ishmael .
Muslims are not dependant on a Jewish Messiah for atonement or guidance.
Muslims are independant of the historical rebellion of the children of Isaac.
Why did Christians change the original meaning of “Messiah” ?

The Messiah is a man who will lead the world to God.
"Say: we believe in God and in what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il: Isaac, Jacob and The Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another, among them, and to God do we bow our will (in Islam)." (Qur'an, Al-Imran 3:84)

'Mashiach' means annoited- nothing about prophet in there! As such, every king of Israel was a mashiach as was every Kohen Gadol (High Priest). The term Mashiach in the context you are referring to, means an annoited person who will accomplish ceretain tasks- which have yet to be accomplished! Unless they are done, the person cannot claim to be the mashiach, regardless of how many miracles they perform or how man people proclaim them. And there is no eternal curse on the Jews - it exists only in the minds of those who have to attack Judasim to try and find some sense of self-worth since they are insecure in their own beliefs!
Nope- Jesus is meaningless in the Jewish view- he DID NOT ACCOMPLISH WHAT THE MESSIAH WAS MEANT TO DO! If he had, we would have world peace, the dead would be resurrected, the Jews would be prieats to the rest fot he world, the Temple would be standing and the temple service, with all its sacrifices, would be being conducted.
As it is, the temple is destroyed, the dead do not come back to life, their is no temple service, and the world is FAR from peaceful!
And Jews, unlike your spurious contention, keep God's words and do not kill prophets as imposters (if you are referring to Jesus- 1) he was not a prophet and 2) he was killed by the Romans, not the Jews)

If you will study the History of Civilization you will learn that during the time of Egyptian Culture, God was always considered to be a women called Goddess. Somewhere around the time that Judaism got its beginning, religion changed God into being a man. Religion has always manipulated God to serve their individual agendas. This is just another example.
