When I was baptised and then became an ordained minister. My family disowned me.
At first it was hard, now life is easier. I now make decent money, my family and I are happier, and i do not have half of the problems that I had before.
At first, satan tests your faith and devotion. He hates losing someone to God. So, in the beggining satan attempts to make you turn back. But after awhile, if you stay right with God, satan will flee.

I know what you are saying. I would say a large portion of the Christians could say the same thing at some point in their life.

When we are saved we are riding the high places in life. This can last for years. We only lose this if we lose interest in the Lord. How does this happen? By the cares of this life.

We get distracted with anything and everything. This is one of Satan's trick for pulling us away from God. Sometimes it may be even things at church.

I will tell you what worked for me.

1. First of all make the Lord your delight. Have an interest in the things that are of God.

2. Probably the most important thing to do is pray. Pray often, tell the Lord you need help and that you want to get back stronger and better than before.

3. I believe this is very important also, read the Bible. I often see this is one of the biggest problems with Christians today. They just don't have a love for the Word of God. There is something about the Bible when we read desiring to know about the Lord and the way he thinks and operates. ( The mind of the Lord.)

Only by this last can we know if we are in the will of God. I believe all of us has something that God has called us to do. We need to find out what that is.

In a lot of churches you'll find people who take the word of the preacher for the truth with out ever checking up on him. These same people only read the Bible in service and never pick it up during the week.

A preachers or teachers job is to instruct us and to teach us the word of God. They are a help for or own study. People often trust the salvation of their soul in the hopes the preacher is right. Make sure he is. If he is wrong find a different church.

Through prayer and the word of God we can return. We will feel his power again and know that God has always been there. Remember he never left us.

I'll pray for you.
May the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Good morning. Read Romans Chapter 7. Don't be discouraged... you're going through the process of sanctification, and it isn't easy.

I like to think of it as a dimmer switch; when you're in a room with the lights dim, you may not be able to see its condition. But as you turn the lights "up", you may begin to see dust and grime that wasn't visible before. God is the light. The closer you get to Him, the more that the light of His holiness shines on you to show you more sin you need to put away in your life. It may seem like a never ending process--but there is an end; God knows the day and the time. Paul, in Romans 7, talks about this same thing, saying "who will rescue me from this body of death?" Jesus Christ. Reliance on Him! That's where it's at.

Remember, your perception of yourself is not God's perception of yourself. God is working... let Him.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8

Spend more time in prayer and reading the Word. At the very first sense of feeling like you are drifting, draw closer to God. Pray from your heart. He never said you would be free of troubles - just that He would be with you through those times. Repent of all known sin. Ask Him to strengthen your faith, remove your anxieties, give you direction and surround & fill you with His love, protection and peace.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8) You can depend on Him!

Your faith has to be tried. Don't give up. Stay the course.

edit:

What dillingere said is so true, there isn't a moment in a Christian's life where they are able to think that they've "made it." Paul said, as great an apostle as he was, "If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead." If by any means we will means, the only way we will is through faith. Exercise that muscle there, Sister.

Whenever you give your life over to Christ the devil works overtime to get you to stray. He is mad that he lost he doesnt want Gods name to be gloryfied and so you have to stay in prayer and in Gods words asking for strength and protection against the plans of the enemy. God is present He will never leave you into the hands of the enemy. Gods blessings over your life.

Id say getting back on track is actually
growing in the spirit, it like when we feel we
know everything about our relationship with christ, we learn something new and its kinda scary because sometimes we think our
salvation is lost a little when in reality its
just another avenue leading to the road
he wants us on.

the Word of God is Jesus Himself. The bible clearly tells us that Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. I would urge you to live a life filled by the Word of God and led by the Spirit of God.

Jesus will be real to you if you have His words filled in you and when you allow the Holy Spirit to have more and more of you, you will be slowly changed into the likeness of Jesus Christ.

on earth the Mind/soul plays a very important role. It is our duty to train and prep ourselves so that we are filled with the word of god for which we have to spend time with god, reading the word and praying...

I pray that God will bless you with a solid mind to read his Word and grow in Him,,God bless

Faith is not feelings and feelings come and go. Jesus has not forsaken you if you have not forsaken Him. Cling to Him by Grace and trust in His promises. When discouraged or lonely pray,"Jesus, I trust in you."

It is to Him who endureth to the end. I have read some of the posts and I am ENCOURAGED. Jesus is with you at all times....he wants you to read and to pray without ceasing. Remember it is by faith, not by sight.
