I saw this in History channel yesterday and then I researched it on my own. The church believed that it was good for society. Everybody accepted prostitution.
So why have we lost our freedoms today? Can fighting in Iraq bring back my freedoms that was lost 500 years ago? Do you see how you can't trust anything the church tells you? So burn the bible and believe in God only because men has distorted God's divine words.

You saw something on the History channel and you thought so much of it that you did some research and concluded the same thing that you saw on the History channel, is that right? No, that's not a biased conclusion. How could it be? You've been sitting here on Yahoo Answers for how long, and you haven't heard the truth, so, why would you think that you needed to consider whether or not the History channel has the truth. Just go for it, why not?
Did it ever occur to you that the Catholic church might have distorted God's divine word? After all, it was the religious people of Jesus' day that had him crucified. Does that give you a reason to think about this issue a little more in depth?

I somewhat agree with that. Im christian but I hate the Idea of ppl teling me how I should live an believe. I believe in God because I can feel him in my heart not because of popular belief or something I read in a book written by man.

There always have been and always will be people, some of them even Priests who are wrong.
People are human and not perfect.
