Have you bought a lesser car or home, that you might finance the advancemint of THE WORD and THE KINGDOM ?
Done without lunch to give to those who have had no food for today ?
NOT gone on an expensive vacation, that someone else might survive another day ?
Given a tithe ? ( that one will torque a lot of jaws )

Actually I have done all of those things, recently. I've only had one vacation (honeymoon).
I drive a 90 honda, and I fasted for my mother-n-law today and yesterday (she was diagnosed with cancer Tuesday) and the money I would have spent on food will go to feed the less fortunate.
I tithe faithfully as the Bible instructs. 10%
I also give a lot of my time to members of my church. i count that as a sacrifice.
I do this for our Lord and I am glad to do it.

I can't tell you what I've sacrificed for the Kingdom of G-d, because that might be like bragging and I don't want to do that...

I can't tell you what I've sacrificed for the Kingdom of G-d, because that might be like bragging and I don't want to do that... I know sometimes people feel like they haven't done enough for G-d but but that's not true, people shouldn't worry even about that, because being anxious for anything is harmful. If it is in your heart to do more for Him because you love Him then it as if you have already done it, even if you haven't done it yet.

I do pay my tithe each pay check, plus my faith promise and a little more for an offering.
I spent 81/2 years living below the poverty level, traveling and ministering to people all over the world. I never felt poor...God always provided what I needed and I stayed in people's homes. I left my parents and sisters behind to follow the Lord. I sacrificed being there as my nieces and nephew grew up.
And I'm learning how to live with less than I think I need as the Lord has called me to go back to Africa. I am in the process of giving up my very life for His service.
God bless you.

You have got to be SDA, or a few pour soul who has been misled via SDA. Here's a few verses so that you can learn so that it will proper the deceit you've gotten been a sufferer of: Jeremiah 31:31-33; Amos eight:four-10; Hosea two:a million-thirteen; Luke 23:forty four-forty six; Mark 15:33; Colossians two:14-17; Acts 15:a million-29; Galatians three:15-29. These verses exhibit that the saturday sabbath could be abolished because the messiah is the fullfillment of the promise, and in addition you'll be able to uncover that the Sabbath day is by no means encouraged within the NT, while the leisure of the commandments are five+ occasions proven. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath, and the achievement of God's promise for the "new covenant" used to be completed at the move. SDA are fake academics, and ignorant at the scriptures.

We each must do as circumstances permit. Only God judges from the heart as to our measure. As a JW, when I was healthy, I like all JWs, got no money for what we do. The hours spent in house to house witnessing and Bible studies with interested people; the time it takes to prepare for that. Plus the meetings and support for the upkeep of the Kingdom Halls takes time and money.
Now, as I am cooped up inside, I really miss it. However, I don't think a homeowner would appreciate seeing me come down his driveway to his front porch and collapse for 15 or 20 minutes before ringing the doorbell. Ah, well,,,,
I have friends who have taken jobs for lesser pay to be able to do more in service to God. Many could be pulling down serious cash in full time work. Some I met have gone to serve in other countries as full time ministers. Others serve in the US building Kingdom Halls Just about all the labor is volunteers and build a Hall in about 4 days. Others are still down rebuilding after Katrina.
There are many who work at the printing facilities and branch offices world wide who are paid enough for necessities but will never, ever get rich doing it. Like in New York. It is a city within a city. Every type of trade or profession is done in house especially printing all the publications so the cost is kept down.
So, what have I done? Not much. But, I know others do so much more. It is inspiring to see this work being done for the glory of God's Kingdom.

This is a bizarre answer, but I will try to explain it the best way possible. I have not always been right with God. In fact back in the day I was a satanist. This is something that I am not proud of, but it was hard to get out of it. Just like smoking when you turn to satanism it is hard to get out because of the craving for wickedness. I am now a mormon though and I do not ridicual others for their beliefs, but that is what I gave up for God. He now has my mind, heart, soul, and anything else he wants of mine. Thank you for the wonderful question :D

I agree, to a point. Yes I have, but I could definitely do more. It's easy to think, "I am doing more than my neighbor, therefore I will find favor".
But, let's not forget, either, let he who is without sin be the first to cast a stone. Whether you believe in God and Jesus or not, this is very wise and prudent from a humanist standpoint.
