After being on this site for about 3 months I've observed a few things. Atheist, or non-believers will not believe no matter what you put, and the same goes for Christians not believing anything that a non-believer writes.

So here is my proof. Both are faiths. You can't prove either. So how did we come to have our faiths? These scriptures might help.

John 6:44
"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him"

1 Corinthians 1:18
"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."

John 3:3
"I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.

But don't lose hope, you can be saved.

Romans 10:3
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved"

If you still don't want to be saved, it's probably because of these reasons.

Do stupid people who life a Christian life go to heaven or hell. If it's heaven, wouldn't that kinda cause an overflow of stupids with nobody to talk to but other stupids? Fun, eh?

In Biblical times girls were married or betrothed right after puberty.

Why do Christians JUDGE the Prophet of Islam using the standards of today ?

Biblical men married women at the age of 9-10.

You can marry a girl at the age of 14 with parental permission in TEXAS.

Age 12 in the state of Mass.

The Torah says Moses allowed consumation of marriage at the age of less than 6 years old......

Since reading all the christian posts on here I must admit I have now seen the light, so to speak. I was a mere atheist before listening to the worse advert for religion ever-christians. Shocking falsehoods, random interpretations from the scriptures to suit, the god trump card, lies, question dodging..
I am now on a new, enlightened, higher plane of non-belief. 'I just know now' that I don't believe whereas before I just thought it. Anyone else feel the same?

I'm a 21 year old female, and I really want to major in something that has to do with the workings of the church. I don't want to be a reverend ( too many family conflicts with women being preachers), but I still want to spread Gods words, and being a missionary involves too much travel. Any ideas???

The church I started going to is a non denominational, but they have worship music and speak in tounges like pentecostals. They don't go by the pentecostal rules like not cutting your hair, etc. Is that what non denominational is?

I dont want it to change a thing but is there anything about your own faith that you were never really able to take on board?

I'm a catholic but i never got praying to saints for intercession,why pray to saints when you can pray directly?

Joesph Smith announced in the Articles of Faith that his religion taught to follow the kings and government of all the lands that his people lived in. However, when it was made illegal to have more than one wife, the church still practiced it for years afterwards. If God isn't a "God of Confusion" than he wouldn't have directed Smith to break a rule (I think its Article 11) that He had told Smith to follow... being that the LDS would subject to the rules of kings and government

Let's say God does exist and he created the universe. If he created the universe, who created God? i've asked several people and they all say that He just "exists" and that no one created him because he was already there. so if God can just "exist" for no reason, why can't the universe just exist for no reason. (don't you see the logic behind that)OH, AND IF YOUR GONNA ARGUE, GIVE IT YOUR BEST SHOT, BUT U KNOW I'M RIGHT.

I was told by Berex here http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070522134701AA6ftTl&r=w that I had twisted the meaning of a bible passage to fit what I wanted it to say. However, I simply assumed that slave meant slave rather than borrower and that master meant master rather than lender.

If this Berex person is right, shouldn't we interchange all unfavorable words in the bible with words that are more appealing?

I'll start: Matthew 13:42 "And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

should really read: "And shall invite them to a party with a firewater: there shall be wailing guitars and thrashing of drums."

Sounds like a rockin' good time to me. Anyone else got one for me?
