Since reading all the christian posts on here I must admit I have now seen the light, so to speak. I was a mere atheist before listening to the worse advert for religion ever-christians. Shocking falsehoods, random interpretations from the scriptures to suit, the god trump card, lies, question dodging..
I am now on a new, enlightened, higher plane of non-belief. 'I just know now' that I don't believe whereas before I just thought it. Anyone else feel the same?

Quite honestly, I have become very disillusioned with the fundamentalists...previously, I thought them to have very few admirable qualities...now, I realize, I gave them to much credit.
They are not just misinformed and have superiority complexes...I believe them to be down right evil....many of them are not of God at all....

I've been a confirmed atheist for a very long time. What I've seen here in R&S now has me leaning toward anti-theist. I really don't want to go there because I think every person should make up their own mind about their own religious philosophy. Nevertheless, it's becoming quite obvious that fundamentalism is actually harmful to human civilization. Believing in your own version of God is one thing, eliminating academic freedom and undermining our nation's scientific progress is quite another.

Well I can't entirely agree with you on this, but I have definitely seen the light as far as Christianity is concerned. I no longer want to be associated with them. I consider myself a believer in God, but in no way by means of traditional Christianity. They've done more to f@ck up people's lives then a lot of ppl I know. (well at least a lot of them..I know there are some genuine ppl out there)
By the way...I work at a church..so if anyone can make this statement it's me.
People need to start thinking for themselves and stop believing every little thing that comes out of another persons mouth where their belief system is concerned.
Go ahead "Christians"...thumb me down! You're probably the very ppl I'm talking about.

I understand what you say. For me it happened years ago. Most of my life (I'm 48) I've had serious doubts about religion. But about 6 years ago I started debating/discussing religion with a very good friend who happens to be an orthodox Christian. With all due respect to him, because he is a great person (I mean that sincerely) - the more I learned about the bible from him the worse things got. There were times when I would leave our discussions to go home and I felt my head was about to explode from the illogic of it all.
Wierd, huh ?

I spent some time in a homeless shelter as I have degenerative discs in my spine and couldn't work.
The same guys came in night after night, preaching to me about God, and looking at me with their ugly faces, like I was an ****** because I wouldn't come up and get saved. But while they stood up there and preached, I could see a glow all around them!

i'm going to be balloting third occasion, thank you. Neither of those clowns have any thought of the thank you to run a rustic. Our cutting-edge clown only gave away the save to Wall highway. i'm afraid there is not any distinction any extra. solid success

I once was walking down the street and saw this brilliant light, and I heard a tremendous sound that sounded like the horn on a truck.

Yeah...They babble the same old thing constantly but can never give a convincing answer as to why they believe in something that is so obviously false.

The Tongue-in-cheek nature of your question aside... Seeing all the mind-boggling apologetics on here definitely helped me make the step from agnostic to atheist.

Yes.
You have gone from being an Atheist to an Anti-Theist.
I feel your anguish with the cocksure ignorance of the believers.
Welcome to the club.
