I frequently see you saying that I have my choice as to whether or not I want to break all of god's laws.

However, in light of the fact that our Justice system is Christian controlled, and based of Christian ideology, and Christians are an extension of god, I find this to be false.

What gives you the right to infringe upon my free will by telling me I cannot murder you? How has God allowed me free will, if his followers [and thus by proxy, him] make rukles that they can prevent me from breaking.

And yes, I understand accountability, but that would more apply to whoever I harmed's close friends and family, not an ambiguous ruling body.

We have been forsworn by G'd "not to enter the Holy Land as a body before the predestined time," "not to rebel against the nations," to be loyal citizens, not to do anything against the will of any nation or its honor, not to seek vengeance, discord, restitution or compensation; "not to leave exile ahead of time." On the contrary; we have to be humble and accept the yoke of exile. To violate the oaths would result in "your flesh will be made prey as the deer and the antelope in the forest," and the redemption will be delayed. (Talmud Tractate Ksubos 111 ).

“One day even the stones and trees will expose the hiding Zionists” - Rabbi Hersch

Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga Halberstam once said: "When a Jew recites 'Hear O Israel, the Lord your G-d, the Lord is One' he should have in mind rejecting all idolatry in the world, including Zionism, which is also idolatry."

The Chazon Ish once said:
"If it is hard to understand the whole matter of the Golden Calf, by seeing the matter of the State, one can understand it. The matter of the State is similar to the Golden Calf"

that your religion simply borrowed loads of stuff from earlier religions? Why would keep up the delusion knowing this as well? Face saving is it, or you still scared of dying?

Here's what bothers me. People say the reason God doesn't talk to us the way He did in the old testament (i.e the burning bush, Moses on the mountain) is because we have the bible to guide us. On the other hand, anytime somthing doesn't make sense in the bible, I'm told it's because it was altered in translation or it doesn't apply today. What I don't understand is how I'm supposed to follow a book that could be total bs with some historical facts thrown in for credibility.
Example: 1 Corinthians 14:34 women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says
I've known plenty of females to speak, even hold positions of power in churches.

Ephesians 6:5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ
But isn't slavery wrong? So why would that even be in the bible?
If I can't put my faith in "The word of God" then how do I find truth?

I am curious and want good and bad examples within the book. I think it is a bit odd no one can ever give me an answer to my questions so its seems your not meant to think about what you read. If faith is accepting without thinking it to me seems a bit silly

My answer would be---"But only by Thy grace."

I respect the right not to believe as I do---I just want to see other people's opinions.

Many will say that animals don't have souls.. Please, save that for someone who's ignorant when it comes to animal personality and love.

At any rate, I was wondering if animals will be in Heaven?

There's a saying that goes.. I want to live forever if there are no animals in Heaven.. I agree with it.

What do you guys think?

preference? You know how a lot of people --or atleast a few[relatives/ folks close to you] try and convince you to "go their personal way of believing" yet totally disrespecting your beliefs. Maybe your Buddhist, Wiccan, Jewish, Christian, Agnostic, Atheist, or ect.
What was the most cruel or tasteless thing said to you? How did you respond and feel? Most importantly [or close to it anyway]--what did you say to make a stand for your own individual beliefs? As we ALL have a RIGHT to honoring OUR own belief system.
I'm curious how other's handle their experiences

Having established that a majority of responding atheist on YA are true atheist, for they refuse admit being agnostic opening up to the possibility of God (referring to my previous question)

Why would an atheist who claims not to believe in God and claims they believe in freedom of speech and freedom to worship of which they freely benefit, even bother with the Religion and Spirituality section on YA?

If God doesn't exist then you wouldn't need to prove to anyone that He doesn't exist, eventually they will come to their right senses and come to the same conclusion as you have, God doesn't exist. Isn't it logical?

Even if they don't and even if they manage to "convert" people to their faith how is that of any disadvantage to you, after all these "converted" people are naive enough to believe such a lie, they probably don't have enough brains to get past first grade. Is there ever too many working class people in society that you should care in what they believe or don't believe

A friend of mine told me about this.
This was from a visit from Lady Hope a few months before he died...their conversation...
"What are you reading now?" I asked as I seated myself beside his bedside. "Hebrews!" he answered - "still Hebrews. 'The Royal Book' I call it. Isn't it grand?"

Then, placing his finger on certain passages, he commented on them.

I made some allusions to the strong opinions expressed by many persons on the history of the Creation, its grandeur, and then their treatment of the earlier chapters of the Book of Genesis.

He seemed greatly distressed, his fingers twitched nervously, and a look of agony came over his face as he said: "I was a young man with unformed ideas. I threw out queries, suggestions, wondering all the time over everything, and to my astonishment, the ideas took like wildfire. People made a religion of them."

what do you think or know about this?

I am not very religious, do not attend church, and am agnostic. I ponder the existence of god and have from time to time began to ask him for something, although, I usually stop myself since I have never done anything for God and thus have no room to ask for anything in return.

My question is essentially what can I do for God, not so I can feel less guilty about asking for favors, simply so I could do something for God, assuming God exists.

Why do you people do this? What if you are wrong? What if you are right, why are you wasting your time? Christians aren't perfect, we are humans and humans are hypocrites....just because you accept Christ doesn't make you perfect. What does science do for you? Does it make you strive to love people and truly care for them? Does it give you some sort of hope for the after life? If there is no hope then it doesn't really matter. Why would you try to discourage people who are happy in their faith?
