Having established that a majority of responding atheist on YA are true atheist, for they refuse admit being agnostic opening up to the possibility of God (referring to my previous question)
Why would an atheist who claims not to believe in God and claims they believe in freedom of speech and freedom to worship of which they freely benefit, even bother with the Religion and Spirituality section on YA?
If God doesn't exist then you wouldn't need to prove to anyone that He doesn't exist, eventually they will come to their right senses and come to the same conclusion as you have, God doesn't exist. Isn't it logical?
Even if they don't and even if they manage to "convert" people to their faith how is that of any disadvantage to you, after all these "converted" people are naive enough to believe such a lie, they probably don't have enough brains to get past first grade. Is there ever too many working class people in society that you should care in what they believe or don't believe

because like it or not, religion does have an impact on my life. Plus, it is fun. And we, too, have freedom of speech! Surprise!

I am here to teach those who will learn, as all questioners in this forum presumably wish to do. Furthermore, it is my mission to give the best possible advice, for otherwise I am wasting the readers' time as well as my own, and we have little enough as it is. I show that there is no evidence to support any theory of the existence of god, that it is provably useless to believe in such, and that religion in general is a plague on the race which would better be done without. Those that I convince (and there are some) think rationally, apply their intelligence to real problems, and take pride in their accomplishments -- for they need not share the credit with a fictional entity.

I mean this is just gibberish.
So someone that believes in freedom of speech is supposed to keep their mouthes (and keyboards) shut? Nice logic. Yahoo Answers is a great example of freedom of speech, and atheists bother because they have already conquered all the other media in America, oh wait they have little to no voice whatsoever in mainstream America. Religion has it's own channels, go on them if you don't want to be around atheists.
NO it isn't logical. That's like saying no one needs to dispute UFOs or ghosts or Bigfoot or anything else, because everyone clearly realizes it isn't real. If you knew anything about real people, you'd know how dumb they are. You cannot count on people to be logical, period.
And no one cares what anyone else believes. We just care what they do because of their beliefs. Can you see the difference? I don't care if someone believes in UFO's, I just care if they run for president on a "i'll use your tax dollars to build a giant welcoming pad for our future masters" platform. Do you see my point?

Religion is harmful not just to the believers, but to others too. Just like second hand smoke kills.
And it's not a faith, it's a lack of faith.
You can't even understand that some people really don't believe in any gods, not even yours, while you yourself disbelieve thousands of gods.
Also: imposed unbelief? What are you talking about?
You must be really scared of examining your beliefs.

I've said this in other answers. The simple, sad fact is that there are too few people who are comfortable and confident in their own beliefs to let others have their own beliefs. It's easy to believe in something that everybody else believes in--even if it's by your doing that they believe it. That happens too much these days--regardless of faith or professed lack thereof.

I'm not an atheists but I will always fight for freedom of thought. Too many of my friends and relatives suffer because we are non-Christian. The more people know that Christianity is one of many belief systems, the better all of our lives will be. I don't care what you believe as long as you keep it out of my life, out of our courthouses and out of our schools.

I am trying to express my opinion.
I really don't care what you believe.
I am trying to learn something.
I don't know that I am right and you are wrong.
I am trying to enjoy some pleasant dialog on an interesting topic.
