It's so hard to say. The negative acts of God seem to always affect thousands of people while the positive ones like healing happen one at a time. I think I would cause rain in the Sahara. I'd stop before the flooding caused too much damage but hopefully enough rain that more plants could get started and stop further desertification.

We already have the capacity to perform acts of God by simply taking responsibility for our actions and thoughts ,by seeing the consequences we inflict on other people and this planet by our own thoughtlessness and selfishness .

One act of God? I'd tricking everyone into thinking I'm real, shaping their lives around some outdated, fabricated words a load of men wrote / edited generations ago to further their own ends and cause people to go around killing and being prejudiced towards those who disagree with their thinking.
THAT's pretty impressive. That's what I'd do.

How about getting rid of people so up their own a**e they cant see the sun shine.

I'd reward humanity for our goodness by creating for them the next higher level of createdness, like beyond being born in my image and having free will etc etc

Get rid of religion, and instantly stop the messes in Lebanon, Palestine, Iran, Kashmir, Chechniya, and of course Iraq. What's not to like?

To get rid of the vermin (peadophiles, murderers, etc) so the rest could live in world peace

it is a choice between world peace and to stop all the horrible diseases in the world. i.e cancer,brain hemorrhages etc. or just let rapists and paedophiles have these diseases
i think i will go for the later as i have lost few friends and relatives to some of these diseases.

I would eliminate all knowledge of war and fighting from every human being on the planet. I would replace it with love, compassion and understanding.
