One day, while I was a juvenile antichristian, GOD HIMSELF spoke to me, and HIS command to lust no more ennobled me and when I turned to JESUS, HE made me feel clean as no other man ever has. (HE is both GOD and MAN).

No aggressive atheists? Oh man, why not throw some gas on the fire while you're here...of course you'll get aggressive atheists!

I am a Christian because the Bible, for all it's oddities, makes more sense than anything else I have ever read. It's prophecies come true, it's imagery is amazing, it's truths so universal that one cannot help but come away a believer.

Atheists are only able to utter the trash they do because they have not taken the time to get to know the Bible (not just read it once and call it good, really get to know it). Yes, you can spend your time picking it apart for something that looks inconsistent, or you can dig in it for it's beautiful truths. Guess which group on here does which.

I'm a long time christian.
I have studied God's word (including the use of Greek and Hebrew interlinears and a Strong's Concordance). All my years of study has proven to me that God's Words are 100% true (need to read context and compare to similar verses).
If the Gospel is told people will recieve.
The peace of the Holy Spirit.
Seeing God work in peoples lives.
Gospel Music("old time")
etc.etc.etc.
(I could go on)

I was raised Catholic but never embraced it. When I hit my teens I went off and studied a number of other religions. I found a lot of spiritual wisdom in Taoism, Hinduism and Bhuddhism and thought I had it all figured out. It was then that a friend of mine reintroduced me to Christ, and when I picked up a Bible and actually read it I was astonished to discover all of the eastern wisdom there, but actually embodied and brought to life in the incarnation of Jesus. The eastern religions described what God should be like, but it was Jesus who actually was that God, who came to earth, healed people, transformed water into wine, raised the dead, and was Himself raised from the dead. Christ was the one and only realization of all that the easterners dreamed about. It was at that point that I joined the Catholic Church again, although really it was for the very first time.

Because when all of the evidence has been weighed there is no other conclusion that can be reached.
The historical evidence, archeological evidence, biological evidence, cosmic evidence, and logical deduction.
There is a God, creator of the universe.
We are separated from Him by sin.
He has communicated His intent to us through the scriptures.
We have seen these come to completion through the death and resurection of His Son.
He has placed the call to me in my heart and on my mind and I must respond.

Your brother in Christ,
Michael

Being a Christian gives meaning and purpose in life. Why am I here? the reason of my existance? How can I remove fear out of life ? knowing its unpredictable and death is always around the corner. Christianity answers this question of assurance of a merciful God. A loving Father who put us in earth to become His children. Life is not boring anymore.

Because I have hope, joy and the love of Christ that gives my life meaning and purpose. Without Jesus is darkness, confusion and a void that will never be filled. My Jesus, my eternal choice.

I am, as well. Knowing that Jesus died for me and you is one of the best reasons. God does not want to be separated from us, the people he created, in His image. I am because of the peace I feel deep in my heart each moment of the day. I know that I am being cared for, loved, cherished and redeemed.
