1947 - The UN approve establishing Israel while the whole time the Arab League opposes, but no one listens to them. Following Israel's establishment, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon declare war against Israel. Ever since then, you know the rest. I love Jews and Arabs but wasn't it so obvious what would happen?

The atheism communities affirm the nonexistence of God. The religious communities affirm the existence of God. The definition of affirm is to declare true. So what’s the difference between the two groups? They are principally the same. Both declare to have illumination on the existence of God, but that can’t be possible. Now I can more so understand a religious person believing in God existence based on his personal revelation with God. I will not argue his experience now. However, atheist say there is no God. If there is no god prove it. If you do then I have nothing to say. But to say there is no God and you cannot prove this means that you are no different principally from those that believe. Both group stand on belief. One thing that is true. Man does not know all things. So man should not and can not make claims on what does not exist without proof. He can be honest and say, “I don’t know.” So atheist, which one of you can prove there is no God?

Bible Baptist Reminder,
Clarksville, Tennessee
February, 1975

On January 14 four of the faculty members of Clarksville Baptist College had the privilege to attend a debate with its issue: "RESOLVED THAT EVOLUTION IS A MORE SATISFACTORY SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATION OF THE ORIGIN AND HISTORY OF LIFE THAN IS CREATION."

A crowd of 2,200 crowded into the Alumni Gym on the campus of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Over half were UT students. On the side of evolution were Drs. Schweitzer and Jones of the University while on the side of creation were Drs. Morris and Gish of the Institute for Creation Research, San Diego, California. All four men are highly recognized scientists and specialists in their fields.

It was exciting to see the creationists beat the evolutionists on their own territory without using one single Bible verse. This irritated the evolutionists and in the final rebuttal, Dr. Schweitzer played foul and violated the rules of the debate by accusing them of believing creationism only because of their religious convictions. Even the audience resented this tactic.

The irritation was further observed at the end of the debate when the voice of one of the scientists from the paleontology department was heard on the floor angrily calling out to Dr. Gish that he was "falsely misrepresenting the facts." He then challenged Dr. Gish for the written proof concerning the finding of a new problem for the evolutionists, namely, a highly complex fish fossilized with simple-celled animals. Dr. Gish calmly showed the written evidence for all to see but the hot-headed professor cried it was a forgery!

It was shocking to see the unscientific attitude of the evolutionists towards the problems of "gaps" and fossil frustrations. Their answer time and time again was that they didn't "worry" about them. Never was a serious attempt made to answer any charge that evolution was unscientific.

For the serious seeker in the crowd I must say he was exposed to more truth concerning creation than about the teachings of the theory of evolution. No doubt many went away wondering about the so-called facts they have been fed of evolution

I see how militant the Christians in this country have become in recent history. The average Christian is hateful, fanatical, determined to silence all those who disagree, and have no sence of humor what so ever. They also claim to be the ones who are going to Heavon. If these people are the people who are going to heavon, I can't wait to go to Hell.

John 10:16 And I have other sheep which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they shall hear My voice; and they shall become one flock with one shepherd.

He has been illustrating His role as the good shepherd up until this point. I do not completely understand the verse however, is He referring to those saved through ministry or is there some other meaning?

then do you believe that the Bible can not be changed by those who translate it?

I believe that the word of God can not be destroyed and therefore those who translate the Bible are inspired by God just as those who originally wrote the Bible were. Do you agree or disagree? Why?

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away - Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31, Luke 21:33 all say the same thing

This seems bizarre to me- there's no example of guardian angels doing this in scriptures. if they exist it seems that is not what they are to be doing. they are not there to be our friends, but to serve God and promote our God seeking- not distracting our attention from God to their selves... i'm confused by "angels" that seem to be acting oddly to me- what do you think?

especially interested in what Jews and Christians think of this, others who believe in angels are welcome to contribute as well. not looking for anyone making fun of or bashing my question: if you think i'm asking about mythical creatures then please don't answer. And before you ask- Yes, I am sane.

Imagine a noble man. He loves others and has concern for his fellowman exceeding what any person would demand from him. but he believes christianity to be a well intentioned myth and only finds value in it because others are able to draw inspiration for life from it. But eternal suffing awaits him for his wickedness, and eternal reward is yours? Surely god is also testing us to see if we value nominal piety over genuine love for our fellow man.

I'm still trying to understand why in the LDS church, when a baby gets blessed, that the father brings up several of his chosen men of good repute to pray over the baby that the Spirit of Melchizidek will be imparted onto the child. Meanwhile, the mother has no bearing on this ceremony whatsoever, and simply sits in the pew with the rest of the congregation.

Why is the mother excluded from this ritual?

(My basis for this info is that I witnessed a baby's blessing in one of your churches).

I have attended Alpha course and accepted Jesus as my Saviour. Along the way, God answered my prayer. A guy appeared in my life, walk me along, and he is a born christian. However, he is not from the same church as me. I have been praying for God's words. No answer to me. Anybody out there can share your views? If you were me, what would you do? Which church should I serve? The church who leads me to Christianity or his church?
