In reality, there is no sentient, omnipresent, omnipotent supernatural being, supernatural entity or force....therefore all the inequities and misery of the world will always persist, some will have good things happen to them and some not, some will blame the invisible entity but objective reality wins all the time....no matter how hard some try to get that limbic brain of theirs to work...sorry

And why does bad things happen to good people all the time? When the tectonic plates crash into each other causing human calamity, they don't worry about Karma, good and bad, evil and riteousness. Life's paths are made up of randon circumstances, some predictable and some not. Most religious people will state that god has a 'bigger' plan for them and humans in general, that we can't know the 'big picture.' Most say there can't be good unless we know or experience the depths of evil.

Is it fair to have predation, disease, deformities, child rape, parasites and evil in the world? If the answer is yes, then with god(s) like that, who need them?

This is a very difficult question which really may not have an absolute answer. Rabbi Mort Kuschner (check name spelling), a well known theologist wrote a book some years back called "why bad things happen to good people", which deals with this pretty directly. Basically he resolved that we cannot have an all powerful god and an all loving god at the same time, so therefor god is not all powerfull. Although some other thinkers beleive the two can exist its just god chooses not to excercise power over us completely for god wants us to have free will over our own lives. Thus god does not directly intervene so we can make our own choices, but circumstances still cause us harm such as accidents, illness, war, crime, ect...

Could be either or both. God uses pain to draw people closer to Him. (if you didn't NEED Jesus, would you really look for Him?) I have gotten closer to God during hard times than I have during times on the mountain top. God uses pain to teach people lessons such as touching a hot stove teaching you not to touch a hot stove and God uses pain to punish us after He has come to us time and time again and we still continue to sin. Usually though, pain is caused by our enemy, the devil, who seeks to steal, kill and destroy us and uses people to do so. If Satan can't kill you he wants to make sure you are not a good witness for The Kingdom so he puts you in a position where you complain and grumble (like the Israelites in the desert) and then he destroys your ability to help others. When the devil can get us so focused on ourselves, we have a real hard time helping someone else. I hope this helps. God bless and keep you!

God allows the Adversary to tempt mankind. Through the great gift of free agency that He gave us, it is up to us to make the right choices and decisions that will either take us back to His presence or down the path toward eternal torment.

If we were only allowed to taste the sweet we could not know the bitter and the differences thereof. That aspect came into the world when Eve ate of the forbidden fruit.

God doesn't really "punsih" you. He loves you. But He wants you to learn specific things and if you're not learning them, He will make things a little difficult for you - He knows that we step up our interests when we're in trouble. Perhpas he's trying to get you to learn tolerance? The devil works through people for Gods purpose...we have to learn to be patient and tolerant of one another - as well as loving and forgiving. There is a passage somewhere in the Holy Bible that says that the more you forgive someone who has done you wrong, the harder God will make things for them until THEY too have learned kindness. Besides, there is also the passage that states "Many will be punished for my names sake". So learn to ignore, forgive and to love...any "punidhments" will be heaped on them when you do. God Bless you.

Life is not all good......it never is. How can you learn things if its good all the time (ie learn from mistakes and learn from tragedy).....this gives you wisdom, empathy, sympathy for starters.
God does not let other people hurt you, other people hurt you and you have the potential and ability to hurt other people.....
God has given everyone freewill.
In those times of hardship God wants us to pray to him to help us through it....when it seems hopeless he will give us hope. He also wants us to reach out to other people....he does not like us to be alone....
Overtime we learn to cope with things better or at least cope with things. It helps us over time get a little tihngs called wisdom.......

God loves you. Call on Him, He is your protector.

Well, here's what God said of those who believe in Him:

Jeremiah 29:11-13
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Correction and growth go hand in hand.

Hebrews 12:5-13
5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: "My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;

6 For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives."

7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?

8 But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.

9 Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?

10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness.

11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

12 Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, 13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.

Read Job and find out what Job did to be healed....

He wants you to grow and be strong. He wants you to remember His love and His mercy. When our life travel on a street paved with gold we tend to forget about Him. It is when we travel on gravel road, we will appreciate how small are we and great is He! No, He is not punishing you, Punishing will be done after judgement day!
