You hear loads of stuff about it, like how they stalk people who go against them, and how it's cult like, people who go in stop talking to their family etc. but no one actually ever says what it's actually all about. I mean, what do they believe in?

I mean, if there was no wisdom, it would be unlikely that anyone would follow them(unless by force).

Then we could argue it is a comformist mentality...But still, many seek answers on their own.

All knowledge or practices that refer to self revelation and experience can be found in all religios texts.

Oh well, just curious if anyone has "hybrid" religious ideas or practices/knowledge that overlaps a few or more religions/paths and feels that they want to share.

I myself study jewish,islam,christian,gnostic,shamanic,hindu, buddhist, scientific, mythology, new age, mystic, and more.

Yay for me :( . oh well

human species and how they've been guiding our social development and how they've used their super-alien mental power to perform miracles. Anyway they think a turning point is coming in human history and I should be their messenger and tell everybody all about it. Tell everyone to be kind and peaceful and all that. Oh, and you should send me money. My question is do you believe me, or do you want proof? They didn't give me any proof because faith is such a cool thing that I can only spread the truth to people who are able to take a leap of faith and believe in their hearts. So where's the money? What? You won't join my UFO cult, but aliens created you! They want to spread joy and enlightenment! Why are you so closed minded? It takes more faith not to believe me than it does to accept everything I say. Can you prove aliens don't exist?

is it true that mormons believe that God had sex with Mary? But she's still considered a virgin because God was an immortal, and not a mortal man?

For instance:

1) I like the Taoist concept of going along with the Way of things, not swimming upstream basically but moving with the current

2) I like how respectful the Muslims I have met are, and I think its cool to see them pray in public

3) I like the Buddhist teachings on acting in accordance with your beliefs, having a constructive job (instead of destructive)

4) I like the Biblical Unitarians for their doctrine on Jesus being the Son of God, but not requiring belief of the Trinity

5) I like Jewish people in general, the first time I talked with an Israeli girl she laughed at me because I mispronounced her name, and she hated an idea I had for my future kid's name even though it was from the Old Testament

6) I would say something about Atheism, but since Atheism is not a religion they say, I have to be silent about them. But I get a kick out of them they are a strange and unique specimen and always fascinate me.

7) Historical Quakers rule.

Do you know why when christians commits acts of terrorism, they just are just terrorist but when muslims do the same, they are called "islamic terrorist" or "islamic jihadist"? There is a reason for this and the one who can point it out will get 10 points.

PS: And no, it is not because of the MEDIA or the JEWS!

considered "worthy" or allowed to join in your temple worship and other activities since I already know Christ as my Savior and he considers me worthy? I am truly trying to get a grasp of what you mean by, someone has to be worthy. You would certainly be more than welcome in my church.

I have heard people state four possible situations:

1. Hell is a place of torment, suffering, and pain and is often a place depicted as forever burning in flames.

2. Hell is a place that is not burning with flames but where one is not in the presence of God.

3. Hell is permanent death.

4. There is no Hell, Jesus saved us all.

Out of these four, which do you believe and if possible can you provide links to scriptures to support your beliefs. If you know the position of another person and can dispute it please do so. And lastly if you see another scenario go ahead and let me know.

This question is oriented towards Christian beliefs, if you are a non Christian but also would like to contribute what you believe the Bible has to say then by all means do so.

I have some problems with the thoughts imparted in here - I strongly believe that we are created in the image and likeness of God, we are technically gods - with his will and power. Now, he gave us dominio over this world, not to abuse it, but dominion, make it flourish and grow. Would it be easier for God to see that we always come up to Him and ask him to do this or to do that for us? or would it be pleasing to Him if we act the way He intended us to? guided by His teachings and our inherent "godness"?

Sometimes I image Blaise Pascal, sitting at a table in Hell, crying into a glass of whiskey, whining to the bartender "wrong god, wrong god, dammit".

Am I the only one with such a lame imagination?

stone = physical body.
rose from the dead = astral travelled, appearing even unto the physical plane, or at least his well-known disciples.

So some dude got murdered, and then did what multitudes of Hindu mystics have done before.

Am I wrong? Or should I go on celebrating some 2000 year old Legislated Murder Mystery miserably?

Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.

This verse does not prove the concept of the Trinity. If that was the case then a married couple would be a duality based on these verses:

(Mar 10:6) But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
(Mar 10:7) For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
(Mar 10:8) And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
