According to the infancy Gospel of James (an apocryphal book - left out of the Bible), Jesus once stretched a piece of wood that was cut too short to make it even with another piece of wood in order for his father, Joseph, to continue working. Now THAT'S carpentry!!!

i'm sure Jesus had WAY better capentry skills than Bob Vila. You're talking about more than 2000 years of differences in building techniques and technology, but innovation has been around longer than technolgical advances in creating tools, so Jesus wins this round.
BTW: every episode i've seen with Bob Vila always has somebody else doing all the work...Mr. Vila is just a spokesperson for Craftsman, and probably doesn't know a lick about carpentry...does that answer your question?

No Bob Vila just gets in the way of work and talks a lot at least Jesus had the kindness to heal the sick while he did it.

Put it this way- Would you risk sitting in a chair that's purported to have been made by Jesus himself? -Over 2000 years ago? Bob might have a hard time working in a carpenter shop of Jesus' time, but then again, Jesus would lose a few holy fingers in Bob's power shop... You're trying to compare a Model T to a Hummer. The T was great in it's day, and I'm sure Jesus did acceptable work for his day and age.

I saw your question and I immediately ran to my bedroom chapel, knelt down and prayed. I HAD to know the answer, I said to myself. Jesus was "eating dinner" (we all know that's Son of God code for "Booty call..come back later"), so I had to wait a few seconds (poor girl). Anyways, he reached into my soul and inspired the answer within me. And, I am happy to personally deliver this Holy message to you:
Bob Vila...IS Jesus's brother. Yep. I know, shocker. Turns out Mary was a little more a head of her time than we presumed. Jewish Girls Gone Wild!
In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Do you know Jesus Christ? It seems you do not know him because according to the bible, Jesus is the son of a carpenter but not a carpenter. Do you know him now?

How do we know how good a carpenter Jesus was? And who really cares? Stop asking stupid questions.
