I mean, if there was no wisdom, it would be unlikely that anyone would follow them(unless by force).

Then we could argue it is a comformist mentality...But still, many seek answers on their own.

All knowledge or practices that refer to self revelation and experience can be found in all religios texts.

Oh well, just curious if anyone has "hybrid" religious ideas or practices/knowledge that overlaps a few or more religions/paths and feels that they want to share.

I myself study jewish,islam,christian,gnostic,shamanic,hindu, buddhist, scientific, mythology, new age, mystic, and more.

Yay for me :( . oh well

This is true because all religions are attempting to describe the same thing, but have differing methods and language obviously shaped by culture and geography. If you go to the deepest core of all religions, the differences become almost unintelligible. Just compare the writings of Vedantist Shankaracharya, with the Nikayas (original Buddhist scriptures), and with those of the Christian mystic Meister Eckhart, and the Turkish Sufi Rumi.

Faith of course seems to be the uniting point for all religions. Faith in some cases provides hope and in some scientific studies has shown to give people a stronger immune system. I question such studies though because I know a lot of Atheists whom are in great shape and have strong immune systems.

very hybridized, I consider myself more of a student of religions than a practitioner of most, and what I have found equates to "something happened, the stories are too similar, something must have happened, but what exactly, I haven't figured out yet"

Did it take a genius to figure out that killing and raping are wrong? The similarities exist because humans are naturally compassionate. Its part of our biology and a very useful survival trait.

Yes most religions have a few things in common - one is usually to do with love and peace and giving - so why are most religions involved with killing and subjugation

They all share some ethical principles that are also secular...
(thus the attraction) The problems are the so called "dogmas of faith" that must be observed!
Producing dangerous divisions, mental anguish, brain/washing conditions, fanaticism, wars, etc...
