I have some problems with the thoughts imparted in here - I strongly believe that we are created in the image and likeness of God, we are technically gods - with his will and power. Now, he gave us dominio over this world, not to abuse it, but dominion, make it flourish and grow. Would it be easier for God to see that we always come up to Him and ask him to do this or to do that for us? or would it be pleasing to Him if we act the way He intended us to? guided by His teachings and our inherent "godness"?

Yes you are correct. What you have stated is a Christian doctrine (I think...). We have been appointed by God to be the stewards of his creation. But we were also given free will, and so we can either choose to make all creation flourish, or we could destroy it all.

imacatholic2 had a great answer until he added (she) after describing God. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are inherently male. Jesus is a man. God is the Father. The Holy Spirit created man in His likeness.

Both.

We are to
+ Ask God for all good things
+ Act in the way He (or She) intended

With love in Christ.
