I've been thinking of this for a little while, it does not add up because I know many Christians that toke but I can not see why society still condemns it. I might smoke every once a year or so, actually it has been around 3 years since I last did. Is this a conservative Christian regulation and if not what do you think it is. I find it amazing that we allow alcohol consumption which is on many levels more dangerous than smoking pot.. I have been wondering how could this be illegalized when the majority of the population is for legalization of pot.

i just got a message from an outraged christian who emailed me just to preach about how i'd regret it all (being an atheist, i presume) after i die. which reminded me of that great "what if" question that comes up every so often from christians about atheists finding themselves before god when they die. so here is my what if...

to all christians out there:
what if you die and find yourself before a big sign that reads "welcome to the end. the little people made up the whole god thing to keep you busy and away from their pots of gold. sorry about that. your soul will self-destruct in 5 seconds."

Check the questions he's got.

Aren't Christians supposed to be caring and wanting to teach and help?

Or do they just want to destroy others that don't think the same way. Can we compare them to Nazis?

Apologies if the title of the ?if I offended anyone its for Attention purposes only. To Atheist could this be put into perspective, What person chooses to believe is his or hers own decision in the formation of thier destiny or faith, and for christians could this be put into perspective, What a person chooses to believe is his or hers own decision in the formation of their destiny or faith... Does one of us have to be wrong, Or can we decide that within our own beliefs that we as induviduals are right and Kill these petty spats that we broadcast on Answers...I have to say that when either side attacks one another that it doesnt boost or better either arguement in fact it only downrates and degrades each mass with every word, What is The Solution People..? lookin for a good answer!

The practice of triune immersion was "an ampler pledge than the Lord required" according to Tertullian, and Basil of Cesarea admitted that it was part of a "secret" tradition and not found in scripture.

In my opinion, an atheist is one who does not believe that someone or something created the universe. In other words, he/she does not invoke a creationist when asked about the origin of the universe. He/She believes that religion is human made.

A believer is the opposite. A believer does not have to belong to a specific religion, but he/she does invokes a creationist (ex. God) when asked about the universe. He/She believes that there is a being watching our every move, judging our actions.

Please respond, believer or atheist. If you have better definitions, please state. Remember, this question is not to argue who or what is better. I just want to get a feel of the percentage of people under both categories. Thanks.

Hi. The reason I ask is that I'm thinking of converting, but I'm a strong believer that we should protect our country against all enemies that would disrupt the peace of this wonderful country (dispite it's many inperfections). I don't want this question to be viewed politicly, just answered from a Bahai standpoint.

"Who shall to mighty Aditi restore us, that I may see my Father and my Mother?"

This is from Rig-Veda Book 1, Hymn XXIV Varuna and Others. The link is the full hymn.

Metaphorically speaking, of course, it seems to me that the act of creation ended when mankind started, and no amount of loving God (the natural processes of the universe) can address man's inhumanity to man. Civilization is fundamentally unnatural (i.e. removed from God) and cannot be accepted. Civilization is a perversion. Civilization is evil.

This isn't biblically based just a silly idea...but what do you think? My own personal theory is that before sin we lived under Gods realm of time...So in that realm Adam and Eve could have lived millions of years equaling in our realm only a little over 900 years. Dinosaurs could have came and gone living in our current realm of time. After sin there was an end to the beginning man fell into the time realm we live now. My theory explains dinosaurs, the ice age etc. Could this theory be correct? And yes I know Gods wisdom is not our own. It’s just a thought
