why do buddhists worship and bow down to man-made statues and revere them?

why do buddhists change their statues if they are not "answering prayers"?

why do buddhists sell their statues to 2nd-hand shops and then buy newer and MORE"POWERFUL" ones?

please answer all 3 questions, buddhists. (dun tell me buddhists don't do these, because buddhists do these all around the world.)

What would it take to convince you that the Bible and its God ARE fatally flawed (assuming you're not yet convinced)?

And if nothing could ever convince you, isn't your "faith" pretty meaningless? Isn't it, in fact, mere stubbornness ...

I understand that translations to other languages can lead to errors given the fallibility of humans...but what makes even the original Arabic worthy of conveying Allah's word? Surely the nuances of Allah's words are beyond the ability of Arabic (or any language) to capture. Wouldn't this at least put all of the verses of the Koran open to interpretation (and just some of them)?

Sounds like he has nothing to do with Hell except in the end when he gets thrown into the lake of fire along with Hell.

3:16 John answered, saying unto [them] all, I indeed baptize
you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of
whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you
with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

Jesus never Baptized anyone, in any way. Is this another false Porphecy? In effect, Jesus told his disciplies to follow John's rituals. Therefore, modern immersion baptism is John's ritual not that of Jesus. Unless some sect decides they will baptize with fire because the Bible says so.

I know there are some people out here who truly want to learn about God. Why are people who claim to hate or disbelieve answering these questions. If I don't like something I don't tell others not to like it. This is not a religious debate it has nothing to do w/ religion. I just wonder what keeps these so called non-believers coming back?

I have read several comments by LDS/Mormons on here saying that it was okay for BY to be racist because that's the way things were back then, or that it was socially acceptable. Correct me if I'm wrong, but, according to LDS beliefs, God told Joseph Smith to stop drinking and smoking, which was also "socially acceptable" at the time. Wouldn't God tell his "prophet" to stop being racist? Since when did the LDS/Mormon church do anything that is/was socially acceptable? Aren't y'all supposed to "Be in the world and not of the world?" Wouldn't that extend to Brigham Young too?

So after the second coming of Jesus, they cast the Best and False Prophet into the lake of fire. Also the followers of the beast and false prophet. The they imprison Satan for 1,000 years while Jesus and his faithful that died for his namesake rule the earth (first resurrection).

Then Satan is freed and decieves man to world war. Those that go to war are devoured by God. Then The Devil is cast into the lake of fire. Now is the Judgement of those dead that weren't part of the first resurrection. Those not in the book of life get a second death and cast into the lake of fire. Those in the book of life get life everlasting.

My question is when Jesus rules earth with His followers that died for his namesake, do they all go to Heaven before Satan is freed from his prison. Who was left on earth after the second-coming? If only Jesus and his faithful were left, where did all the people that went to world war when Satan was freed come from?

Some Christians say that the earth is only 6,000-8,000 years old.

Yet there are stars that are many hundreds of thousands even millions of light-years away from us. The fact that we can see them at all proves that their light has traveled for more than a million years.

Did god do this so we could have a nice light show... wouldn't this cause us to have extreme doubt in him ... or is it the devils evil doing?

How old do you believe the earth to be?

(Me? i believe, like most scientists, that the Earth is around 4 Billion years old.)

If according to historians, Jesus did not really exist, that means his speech was made up. So, I conclude that the concepts of heaven and hell were invented. Right?

By trying so hard to get that person to believe in whatever you believe in that they "believe" in it only to please you. Or somebody going around pretending to believe (even if they don't realize it) in something for the sake of somebody else. (An example would be a child/teen believing in certain religion just because their parents believe in it.)

This confuses me, because the Bible states demons live here on earth looking to steal, kill, and destroy, and that we are to "resist" them. How can we bind a demon from any place on earth, if they are here to do just what they are doing?

I thought the only binding of demons would be when Jesus returns and cast them into hell at final judgment. Also, if Christians do not have this Authority through Jesus, what happens to people who are posessed by demons?

A possesed person can't seek deliverance on their own, because demons have taken over their mind. So how do they find freedom if demons can not be cast out? Does God free them supernatually? And what determines if he will do this if they're unable to repent due to the demonic influence?

I hope Christians who agree or disagree will state why using the Bible, and not by just repeating what has been written by a church or religion.
