I know there are some people out here who truly want to learn about God. Why are people who claim to hate or disbelieve answering these questions. If I don't like something I don't tell others not to like it. This is not a religious debate it has nothing to do w/ religion. I just wonder what keeps these so called non-believers coming back?

If I asked us all to read john 5 and everyone post what it meant to them, non believers aren't going to do it, so why give opinions on something you won't read. I understand it's our freedom to do so, and Jesus never turned anyone away, so who am I to say someone can't answer my little questions. I'm not trying to enlighten anyone, I am hoping there are people here to enlighten me. I know I can't answer questions about Athiest, so I don't go there, cuz I wouldn't know what I was talking about.

It's probably safer to believe in nothing, than it is to worship false Gods.

I don't want you to believe in things that are detrimental to my life. Therefore I try to teach theists to believe properly.
If you want to believe in god, I have no problem with that. If you want me or my sons to believe in god, then I do have a problem. If you want to believe weird stories instead of science, I have no problem with that. If you want to teach your weird stories as if they were science, then I do have a problem. If you want to follow two thousand year old tribal sexual practices, I have no problem with that (although hanging the bloody sheet out your window after your wedding night is a bit gross). If you want me to have to follow them, then I do have a problem. Et cetera, et cetera.
Basically, if you want to live your life and let me live mine then everything is copacetic. Unfortunately, many theists here don't feel that people who disagree with them should be allowed such freedom.

It takes two to fight. I for one am not a Christian, but I can discuss the Christian religion as a Biblical scholar since Christianity is part of the theological training I have had. I understand that I along with other non-Christians have answered questions about your religion with the idea that maybe if you could understand that treating us with equality, being understanding that there are other religions out there and that we don't want to repent is our right. In this country we have freedom of religion, but not freedom from religion. Christianity maybe your true religion, but Christians only make up 33% of the World population. And we keep coming back to help you understand that when we say no, we mean no. If we choose to be wrong the Christian God's gift of free will should be enough for ya'll to cease and desist missioning to us.
Oh and your question asked for an answer from non-Christians.

Ah, keeping up the perfect record of posts containing the phrase "so-called" being inane rants.
Here's a writing hint: if you find yourself about to type the phrase "so-called" or "WAKE UP, AMERICA!!!", step away from the keyboard and think hard and long about what you're trying to say. You're almost certainly about to make an utter fool of yourself.
As far as your question, atheists have the correct answers about god. It seems that hardly any believers do. Why do believers answer questions they don't know the answers to? This is supposed to be a site on which people ask questions and others give _the correct_ answers. Folks who believe in god seem to believe they can ignore that.

Probably because most of us non-beleivers know one hell of a lot more about a given religion than the hypocrites that claim to practice it. I myself have studied many different faiths in an attempt to find truth. Since the truth never condradicts itself and is proveable, none fit. Since all evidence points me to the conclusion that there is no God, I've become an Atheist.
And if it deals with religion... and it's on a public forum? Sweetheart, it IS a religious debate. Get used to differing opinions.

particular, I do. there is not any distinctive clarification for existence. The human physique is a optimum wondrous unit on a microscopic element. that's impossible for evolution to account for the brilliance of it. no longer in common words for mammals, yet even the variety and mechanics of plant existence is recommendations boggling. people has continuously needed something to worship. i might desire to truly have self perception in God than no longer. What might desire to happen if the Bible is the fact? i might desire to truly err on the shelter portion of the line. God has continuously been and can desire to continuously be. people guess that the earth is so and a great variety of hundreds and hundreds of years previous. So what? What does it mean to me that the earth is 2500000000000 to the flexibility of 250 years previous? i visit in common words stay to (if i'm fortunate) a hundred, if Jesus would not are available the previous then. The Bible in common words provides us the history of the previous seven thousand years. substantial is the final few years that's likewise history already, because it truly is written unchangeable interior the Bible.

Religion is historically, socially, culturally, and of course, religiously, always an interesting topic.
Do you NEVER share your point of view on things you don't believe in or find acceptable pracice for you? Is it acceptable for you to speak about Atheists without being one? If it is acceptable for you to do so, then why apply a double standard?
Most Atheists tend to have as much, if not more, biblical and religious knowledge than that of the Christians in the group.
Do you make a decision just hearing one side of the issue- do you just buy a car based on it's color, without knowing anything else about that car? Why should someone choose a religion without hearing both sides of the issue?
Why would you deny others the right to hear all sides of any issue?

Godfollower, we may not know about YOUR specific god.
That's because gods are anything that godfollowers want them to be. When we atheists get too close to pulling the religous rug off from over your head, you simply make up something to keep the rug firmly held in place.
The most common trick used is to quote from your jim-dandy "build-a-god" kit called the bible. This interesting book has all kinds of slick phrases in it that can be arranged or rearranged at will to defend yourself against all reason and logic.
Yes, gf, it's true. We may not know YOUR father, but we atheists long ago came to see the absurdity of the "My daddy can beat up your daddy" arguments.
And quite frankly, we're sick of hearing it.

The answer is simple. FREEDOM OF SPEACH.
It is amazing how some Christians think that they have the right to be anywhere they want to, attack other people's religious beliefs in this forum, and yet, complaint because some atheists come to ask or answer questions regarding God, religion, creation, etc.

Halo friend ... .(Peng-you = friend in hokkien :P).... if you check carefully, all questions are directed at atheist .... for example :
"If you do not believe in God, you will go to hell"
"Atheists and Christians have a lot in common ...."
"Why Atheists have no moral"
"We should pray for the unbelievers"
"Why use god's name to swear when you do not believe in him?"
"If there is no god, where do you think you come from?"
etc etc ....
.... do you think the people who are directed at needs to answer?
--------
Do you by any chance know that quite a few atheist here are former christians who had done what you would not had done? They had read the bible .... FULLY (not out of context, not some particular verse your pastor ask you to read, not some pages when you open your bible by random).
---------
It is safer to believe nothing then to believe false gods? Put it this way, who are qualified to declare which are true gods, who are gods to be exact? Everyone will say they have the true god, who will say they have the false gods?
Will any current christian please stand up and say you are praying to false god? Most probably not...... Will Muslim do so? No possibility. Will Hindu please do that? Nope. .... but then they will be quick to point each other as having false god.

in a way it just like saying "i don't agree with the way people forsee the word GOD from their belief.
the word people call God is a force within us (not above us), as the living force. the one they call Devil is within us as well, as the destructive force. This is the truth. its just a matter of how you will forsee this truth(Wisdom). God and Devil coexist on one another. God can't exist without Devil so thus the Devil can't exist without God. They are both within us and they are both everywhere. There is Life force Law that one should follow in order to maintain own's life. otherwise it will be self destruct. Do you get the point?
NO NEED TO BELIEVE IF YOU GOT THE TRUTH.

Religion is responsible for much of the suffering throughout human history. We now live in the age of reason and our eyes have been uncovered. We should speak up about it, even if many people don't want to listen.
