So after the second coming of Jesus, they cast the Best and False Prophet into the lake of fire. Also the followers of the beast and false prophet. The they imprison Satan for 1,000 years while Jesus and his faithful that died for his namesake rule the earth (first resurrection).

Then Satan is freed and decieves man to world war. Those that go to war are devoured by God. Then The Devil is cast into the lake of fire. Now is the Judgement of those dead that weren't part of the first resurrection. Those not in the book of life get a second death and cast into the lake of fire. Those in the book of life get life everlasting.

My question is when Jesus rules earth with His followers that died for his namesake, do they all go to Heaven before Satan is freed from his prison. Who was left on earth after the second-coming? If only Jesus and his faithful were left, where did all the people that went to world war when Satan was freed come from?

With respect to who will occupy the earth during the millennial kingdom, there will be two distinct groups. Those with glorified bodies (1 Corinthians 15) who were raptured prior to the Tribulation, and those who earthly bodies who lived through the Tribulation and on into the millennial kingdom. This group who have earthly bodies can be subdivided into two groups: believing Gentiles and believing Jews (Israel).

In Revelation 19:11-16, we find the return of Jesus Christ to earth, known as His Second Coming. The Rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-53) is an Appearing of Christ in the air, not His Second Coming. I include this to make a distinction between the rapture and the second coming of Christ. There is no mention in Revelation 19-20 of any kind of rapture event where believers receive glorified bodies. The implication of this is that saints who are on earth when Christ returns will remain on earth to enter the millennial kingdom in their natural bodies. If the Rapture or any kind of event where a believer receives a glorified body were included in the second coming of Christ to the earth, one would expect to find reference to such a major event in Revelation 19. But no such reference is to be found.

Matthew 25:31-46 is another passage that should be considered. This passage is commonly called the separation or judgment of the sheep and the goats. The sheep and goats refer to righteous Gentiles and unrighteous Gentiles. Christ will judge the unrighteous Gentiles, and they will be cast into the lake of fire for eternal punishment (Matthew 25:46). Therefore, no unbelieving Gentile will survive to live on into the millennial kingdom. The righteous Gentiles, or sheep, will live on into the millennial kingdom. They will give birth to children and will populate the earth. However, these are not the only ones who will be producing children during the millennial kingdom.

The impression is given that when Christ returns, all Israel will trust in Him (Zechariah 12:10). They too will Not receive glorified bodies (as those did who were Raptured prior to the Tribulation). They also will produce children during the millennial kingdom.

So, believing Gentiles, Israel, and resurrected/raptured believers (all of whom have glorified bodies) will occupy the earth. It should be noted however that believers with glorified bodies will not be reproducing--there is no marriage after this life (Matthew 22:30).

Children born during the millennial kingdom will have the responsibility of faith in Christ as all people of past ages have (faith in Christ since His coming; faith in God before--Genesis 15:2-6; Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 3:20). Unfortunately, not all of the children that are born during the millennial kingdom will come to faith in Christ. Those that do not will be led away by Satan into rebellion against God at the end of the millennial kingdom when Satan is let loose for a short time (Revelation 20:7-10).

For a further look at this subject (who will live into the millennial kingdom), look also at the following passages: Isaiah 2:2-4; Zechariah 14:8-21; Ezekiel 34:17-24; Daniel 7:13-14; Micah 4:1-5.

Revelation 20 is probably the most debated chapter in the whole bible. Jesus does not return until Satan is released and gathers the nations to the battle of Armageddon. Jesus will return in the midst of great tribulation. The church will not be raptured out before this happens. If this were true why bother with Revelation at all? Why would Revelation persistently call for the perseverance of the saints? Revelation is a symbolic book, meant to convey truths by means of signs and symbols. It is not a chronological vision of the future but, a sequence of visions of the same events from different angles that are revealed thematically. For instance, Revelation 6:12-17, 11:7-13, 11:15-19, 14:14-20, 16:12-21, 19:11-21, 20:7-10 are ALL describing the end of the age. Satan deceiving the nations leading them into THE battle of Armageddon ending in the return of Christ to conquer the dragon, the beast and the false prophet and to rescue His church. Jesus doesn't come to reign on the earth. The 1000 year reign is spiritual.

The 1000 years is a symbolic period of time where the dragon is prevented from deceiving the nations so that the gospel may go out to all the earth. His binding is a symbolic representation of this restriction. How can a spiritual being be bound with a chain? Jesus says in Matthew 12:29 you must first "bind" the strong man before plundering his house. Jesus is plundering Satan's domain (the earth) because he conquered him by dying for sin and we are what He is plundering. When all the elect come to faith, Satan is released to deceive the nations and gather them for battle. Jesus says in Matthew 24:21 that the tribulation will be as never seen before in all the earth. Other places concerning end times such as Daniel 7:24-25, 12:1-3, and 12:7 confirm that the end of the age will see mass persecution and the slaughter of the saints. Thus Revelation is written to the suffering church in "the last days" that we might persevere in faith knowing we are spiritually protected through physical persecution and that God will avenge is people.

It's important your understanding of Revelation and matters concerning end times be tethered to scripture and understood the way the author intended. When John penned Revelation he used specific greek words. For example Revelation 1:1, "made it know" is the greek word "Samaino" meaning to make know using signs or to give a sign. Plus, John calls the book apocalyptic in the opening verse. the word "Revelation" is the greek word "apokalupsis" which means the revealing or uncovering. And in 1:3 he calls the book a prophesy. Put all this together and you have an apocalyptic prophesy or apocalyptic literature. It was a genre of literature used in John's day. John draws his imagery mostly from the Old Testament.

Hope this helps.

Jesus will be in Heaven with his people before Satan is freed.
Your referring to Revelation, so you must be talking about after Satan is cast away, and is freed for a second time. The righteous will be left on earth. And then there will be a Resurrection, in which, all those who were not tested, will be tested. Then Satan will be thrown away forever.
And the righteous and the meek ones will live on earth as Jehovah and Jesus rule over the earth. The earth will then be a earthly Paradise.
There is so much more to this.

I think the 'thousand years' referred to is symbolic and doesn't really mean exactly 1000 years, just like it says God owns the cattle on a thousand hills, I don't think it means he only owns 1000 hills, but is symbolic.

This was a dream. It cannot be taken word for word.Too many people put too much into Revelations. This Book has nothing to do with being baptized and getting to heaven.Blessings
