3:16 John answered, saying unto [them] all, I indeed baptize
you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of
whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you
with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

Jesus never Baptized anyone, in any way. Is this another false Porphecy? In effect, Jesus told his disciplies to follow John's rituals. Therefore, modern immersion baptism is John's ritual not that of Jesus. Unless some sect decides they will baptize with fire because the Bible says so.

Did you even read Acts 2? He baptised the disciples with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

When you approach the gateway to heaven it is actually a wall of flame . That is why it is written that many will come to the gate but few will enter therein. But if you believe upon Christs forgiveness then You may pass through unburnt. So in that way you are Baptized (wholly submerged ) with fire. And you will be baptized (kept safe) with the holy spirit. An example of this is when Daniels friends were throw in the furnace but came out unharmed , not even smelling of smoke.

First of all, the passage you are referring to is not in John, although that chapter does refer to John as well as Jesus and his disciples baptizing. The reference you are quoting is found in Luke 3:15. The main point of what John was saying was that he was preparing the way for someone more important than himself. I think the "fire" John is referring to is more a metaphor, because he is talking about judgement. Biblical prophecy is not simply foretelling the future.

Jesus Baptized people in the Holy Spirit for the first time in Acts 2:4.

Baptism in the Holy Spirit does not require water.

If you read some of Jesus final words on earth, in Acts chapter one you'll see another prediction of this:

4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."

That promise was fulfilled in Acts 2:4

All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

And it happened again in Acts chapters 8 and 10 and 19 and in all churches today which teach and preach the full gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

PS: Jesus baptized me in the Holy Spirit when I was a senior in high school.

PPS: The passage you were trying to quote is so important it appears in all four gospels and the book of Acts.

Sure! Here you go:
John 20:19-23 (Appearance to the Disciples) Specifically verses 21-23: 21[Jesus] said to them again, "Peace be with you." 22 And when he said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the holy Spirit. 23 Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained."

Also:
Acts of the Apostles
Acts 1:1-9:
The Promise of the Spirit.
1 In the first book, Theophilus, I dealt with all that Jesus did and taught 2 until the day he was taken up, after giving instructions through the holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. 3 He presented himself alive to them by many proofs after he suffered, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. 4 While meeting with them, he enjoined them not to depart fro Jerusalem, but to wait for "the promise of the Father about which you have heard me speak (Luke 24:49); 5 for John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the holy Spirit."

The Ascension of Jesus.
6 When they had gathered together they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?" 7 He answered the, "It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has established by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." 9 When he had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight.

Of course, in Acts Chapter 2:1-13, you can read for yourself that they actually received the Holy Spirit.

Don't be easily swayed, and keep reading the bible. Good luck, and hope this helps you.

Acts 2:1-4
The Holy Spirit Comes at Pentecost
1When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[a] as the Spirit enabled them.

It was a different kind of baptism that came up on them on the day of Pentacost. The "fire" was the Holy Spirit that Jesus promised would come upon them.

Reading from the NWT bible
John 3:16 reads : “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life. "

In which; this is God, approving of Jesus being baptized.

I don't know if your scriptures are misapplied, but you might be quoting from the King James Bible, in which Jesus is referring to God being higher than him.

What is your question regarding baptism? I wasn't clear.
But, i do not believe any religions baptism's are done with fire...because a funeral would quickly follow. This sect probably wouldn't be too popular, also.

As for John. He was told to go door to door, and make disciple's. Remembering that Apostles are approved by Jesus and the disciple's are followers of Jesus. So, remembering that Jesus was a loving man, and in all images like his father.
He would want John to follow in his example.

Of coarse, not purposely hurting anyone.

Maybe come back at me with a similar scripture and what bible your using.

He gave them the gift of the Holy Ghost, which was a figurative baptism. The baptism of fire is the adversity his followers experience.

It wasn't a false prophecy, because they were talking about 2 different (but analogous) things.

IN JEREMIAH 29 IT SAYS
Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?
ACTS 2
4 And they were all filled with the a Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
perhaps this is the meaning in the passage in luke

it is called the "Baptism of the Holy Spirit"
acts 2:3
and divided tongues of fire appeared to them, and tongues of fire rested on each one of them, and they were filled with the Holy Ghost.
that was Jesus promise . he told them to wait in the upper room for the comforter( holy Spirit ) to come.
therefore that scripture was fulfilled

At the Last Supper, Jesus washed the feet of His disciples, instituting the Sacrament of Baptism. He also instituted the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist in the Last Supper when He said "This is My Body," and "This is My Blood."
