In case you were wondering the poll showed that ONLY 33% of American believe that there is valid scientific evidence for evolution and 50% believe that the Bible is literally true. I wish that this was a joke but I believe it is a Gallup poll done every year.

Yes, I believe there is valid scientific evidence for evolution, but I am thoroughly sick of the argument, so I'll have to pass on the "best answer" points.

I believe there is evidence for evolution. Even in the Bible evolution is mentioned. But I also believe literally in the Bible because of the SCIENCE in the Bible. I believe there is a gap between the first and second verse in Genesis. The earth and the heavens were created & then some catastrophe happened in verse 1 that left the earth without form and void. The earth was made (not created in verse2) ...Adam & Eve were created in verse 2. Therefore the world can be millions and millions of years old.before Adam and Eve. The Bible has a lot of SCIENCE in it. God formed man of the dust of the ground...Gen2:7Our bodies are made of the same chemical elements that are in the ground. The only difference is God breathed life into us and man became a living soul ...No form of evolutionary theory can account for human speech, human conscience,or human individuality. "After his kind " Gen1:21, 24, 25means a direct line of descent within a group. example the horse family, every horse in this group there is development (evolution) and devolution. There is evidence of a great flood, evidence that the vibration of people walking around the walls of Jerico and then trumpets blowing could bring down the walls. That there was a solar eclipse when Jesus was on the cross & there was a bright light in the skies around the time Jesus was born, there is a certain spot in the Red Sea that could be crossed if the earth suddenly tilted for a bit. The shroud of turin keeps exposing new secrets, They are pretty sure they just found the tomb of Heron in Israel, a lot of prophecy has been fulfilled, and then there is the Bible Code that Issac Newton searched for and now in the age of computers has been deciphered, It can also be deciphered because the Jewish people were told to not change a line or dot in the Torah, and the Torah has been copied very carefully all through history so as not to change a mark. Just the fact that the bible says Jerusalem will be a burdensome stone until Jesus comes again, and it is a burdensome stone for every country on earth. The Bible uses the word orb to describe earth...the bible knew the earth was round & not flat,
Whether you believe in Noah's Ark or not, the size and how it was to be made, etc. was scientifically sound to carry animals& ventilated the same as a gymnasium is today. So many interesting facts to discover in the Bible if you look.

Yes (a lot) and No (almost none).

Evolution has a large body of evidence from different sources that support it. More importantly, the Theory of Evolution has made predictions that were shown to be true.

The Bible shows every sign of being just the legends and mythology of the Hebrews. Like most myths, whatever original truth was there to inspire the myth has long sense been inflated way beyond any kind of literal reality.

it is over simplifying issues, yet in view which you have the incorrect concept approximately evolution (given an including of power from, say, the sunlight it may create ever extra complicated combos) i think of i ought to grant it a shot. Take the selection, upload a million, and swap a coin. If heads then upload a million, if tails subtract a million. try this two times for each set, and take the optimal selection. What you probably did became into the equivalent of evolving 2 categories of existence, and chosen the terrific. Take that larger selection, and repeat the technique for a sequence form of contraptions, say fifty. In our the belief test we are in a position to assert that larger numbers stay to inform the tale extra suitable than decrease numbers, and that existence can not stay an identical between 2 adjoining contraptions. whether you purchased the two tails (a -a million whilst chosen) you will nonetheless have a extra robust danger of having a extra robust selection than you started with on the tip of each and every set. anticipate, in case you like, that a -a million means extinction of all existence, and any help is the erasing of extra complicated types in favour of the tried and actual. no rely what, presented you probably did not get extinct, you will have a tenancy to conform with a extra robust selection. After fifty contraptions you are able to anticipate something like thirty to 40 larger than you started with, a much extra complicated style of existence in purely fifty generations! think of the opportunities after 1000000000 generations! and that's barely by applying including and subtracting the selection a million, DNA has so lots extra variables to play with than that.

Of course there is - otherwise what do you call fossils and oil? Satans doings? As if he decided one day to come along and deposit these nifty little devices... knowing we would think of them like we do? Right. Satan is what is made up. Oh, and if "god" had everything to do with it, why would there be DNA links to the great apes?

No. It is a collection much like Aesop's fables, with historical reference added in for credibility. And, that book has nothing in it which speaks of humans "mutating" or any other reference which can explain the evolutionary links we have discovered. People still refer to it because they are happy being sheep and lack the strength or courage to stand on their own with nothing to fall back on but themselves.
Peace!

there is a lot of what looks like evidence but could (and is) just as easily be lies. Of course the bible is literaly true. It is true in every way. why else would people still be reading it, and learning from it 2000 years after it was written?

Yes and No.

Evolution - if it were not true, then Adam and Eve both had every known STD that is in existence.

Bible - All you need is 1 contradiction to show it is not literally true. Here's one. In Exodus 20 God commands to not kill. Yet in Luke 19, Jesus asks us to kill.
