Okay. Did you watch any of the debate on abcnews.com? How do you think the Christian side did? How did the athiests do? Thanks for your answers.

Maybe this analogy will help some of you believers understand why we atheists hang out in R&S. You don't have to believe in something in order to find it interesting, or worthy of debate.

1) Gods message was for the gentiles
2) He introduced Mithraism
3) He cut off Christians from the covenant by ending circumcism
4) He cut off Christians from the LAW
5) He said covering the head was not needed.

What else did he inject into the message of Jesus in his historical hijacking ?

I mean wouldn't you be better answering questions somewhere else? You don't believe, so move on, or are you looking for a proof?

Last night while sleeping it felt like an evil presense was around me, i wanted to awake myself but i could'nt move, so i started to pray & i could accually hear myself aloud. It took a couple of prayers before i could snap from this coma like feeling, only to find myself awaking from my sleep. (It felt as if some force was holding me down)

I asked this question in the General Food and Drink section but I wonder what the religious people have to say about their favorite chocolate?

Shall I anticipate a spiritual answer? Maybe a philosophical one? A weird answer, or a sarcastic response?

Interesting how no Christians answered this question:

(Please don't respond that the 3rd answer was from a Christian until you view the site given given as the source and agree with it)

Please take note that in Exodus 20, god did not call the list given there "The 10 Commandments" and did not implore Moses to put them in stone. The opposite is true for Exodus 34.

So what's the reason for disregarding the second authoritative (according to god himself) 10 Commandments in favor of the earlier passage that I have never seen hanging on the wall of a church or court room?

To believe that your religion, is THE religion. To believe that in all the planets, in all the universe, that your religion is the true one......isn't that a bit arrogant?
Do you think humans are the only intelligent life in the universe? And if not, do you really think that they study the bible and worship Christ? Do you think God sent a Jesus to their planets too?

I know for a fact that god made us, because my mummy says so, and also because there have been several large volumes written about it, including various stories of talking snakes and Donkeys. Evolution is all lies, because it says that we came from monkeys, and monkeys are hairy and throw faeces at one another. If this isn't enough proof of the existance of god, I don't know what is.

a couple of months ago, i posted a question re: my dad, who is an atheist, diagnosed with cancer of the prostate, then decided to do some "soul searching" and said "yes" to Jesus....well, the short version is, tomorrow is his last treatment and everything looks like it is going to be ok, according to the docs (YAY!). ANYWAY, it seems that now since he knows he is going to be ok, that he has totally denounced God, and said he is going to live his life the way he wants to....which is all well and good, that is his right! My question is, why would you turn to God when you think you may die, then found out you'll be ok and throw God down? even the atheists i don't know well on here (R & S) are consistent...

p.s. before i get attacked, i have not asked or said anything to him about this, i have been too busy helping him with his legal affairs, my info is from my mother (his wife of 43 years).

The silly, naive statements I see on here about the four canonical Gospels being 'eye witness accounts' is so far from reality, you'd have to be 10 and still in Sunday School to believe that nonsense.

Here......educate yourselves.

After all, none of us know everything, so to say flatly, "God doesn't exist" is presumptuous isn't it?

he said something to the effect that Mormons didn't count and the "real Christians" would make up the vote , paraphrasing but this was the gist of it. Do you think the Mormons should get a protest and march going? LOL
