No they are attracted to us Christians.
It's the devils bullying tactics that they enjoy, yet don't even know they are being controlled. I pity them and pray for them. And love to tell them how it is!!!

Perfect for them to stay here.

I kind of disagree with the first answerer, sorry. I think a majority of atheists are raised in non-Christian homes (or not any religion for that matter). I haven't met many atheists, but that's usually the case for the ones I've met. Some Christians are content with not studying their Bible, but there are a lot of Christians who do soul searching too, and they study their Bibles and have faith that the Bible is the truth. I know this question was directed towards atheists, but I saw some of the answers and I had to add my two since (I really like the last few answers before me!). Thanks for reading.

What would be the point? So we could all go there and agree with eachother? What if there was a place on Yahoo Answers called Christianity? Would you go? How would anyone find any answers or learn anything, without debating and conversing with people of other religions?

It would probably be a bit boring, since assumedly people who are willing to identify themselves as atheists have already had those questions answered, and those who are coming as trolls are simply.... well.... trolls!

To presume that the only thing that I know anything about is atheism is ridiculous. I majored in religion, and I have often answered questions from theists about their own religions. I also find the range of beliefs here allows for broader dialogue than a unipolar group.

Why would you want to turn atheists out to some gulag, anyway? Are you such a separationist that you cannot stand to be reminded that you live in a world filled with variant philosophies?

Other than commiserating about being screwed over by theists, what would be the point? The common factor in being an atheist is holding no belief in a god or gods.

Most of us were raised theist, and we did much study and soul-searching before coming to the place we're at.

That's why we have an interest in religions. That's why there are a number of R&S.

I think it is great that those who call themselves Atheists come
here. Christ told us to minister to the lost and then He set the example by going among the lost and reaching out to them.
We are to follow His example if we intend to call ourselves the
followers of Christ. To do less would be hypocritical.

For the atheists I say welcome - hope you learn while you are here that human "wisdumb" by itself is a waste of the very precious gift of intelligence God gave you that is to be coupled with His "wisdom" so you can have the very best understanding of what life is really about.

Proverbs 1:7 - "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction."

1 Corinthians 2:14 - "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

The first verse states that the "fear" of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. To clarify this for an atheist - if you have no fear of God you have no real knowledge. This means
all the worldly knowledge coming from your "finite" (limited)understanding is wasted brain storage and verbal waste when you use it to argue for the non-existence of God.

The second verse makes it clear that the "finite" mind apart from a salvation experience is wasted on knowledge that is unprofitable in regard to eternal things. Salvation once again is the prerequisite to real knowledge and all other knowledge is of little value apart from divine revelation. When a person comes to salvation through Christ, their intellectual capacity is radically enhanced and they begin to see things as they really are - not before. In essence then, a little child who will repent of their sin and trust Christ for salvation is wiser than the most intellectual atheist that ever lived because that child has been touched by the "infinite" power of God and no longer needs to rely on mere human understanding.

Truth will never change just because you choose to believe it isn't truth. God will not cease to exist because your human rationale can't grasp supernational things. Fight it all you want, but if you don't get in touch with the "infinite" you will go on in delusion of your own making through your whole life. I don't need to remind you of the end result - you knew it before
the first person ever mentioned it to you on Yahoo Answers.

I have been in atheist chat rooms, and it works like this. Fundies will constantly invade the room spewing their damning faith. Atheists retort with the same thing you see here. It doesn't really change much by creating another room or section.

Now let me ask you, if there was a section called Mythology and Folklore, would the Christians go there?

We'd probably just joke among ourselves and organise invasions into the Christian bits. Sort of like an inverse internet crusade.
