I know for a fact that god made us, because my mummy says so, and also because there have been several large volumes written about it, including various stories of talking snakes and Donkeys. Evolution is all lies, because it says that we came from monkeys, and monkeys are hairy and throw faeces at one another. If this isn't enough proof of the existance of god, I don't know what is.

Also, if you don't believe in god, you will go to hell and burn for all eternity, so there.

A Christian is a follower of Jesus of Nazareth, referred to as the Christ. Christians believe Jesus to be the Son of God, who lived a life befitting that of the creator of the universe, free of sin and full of love, who at the end of his earthly life was crucified, and then on the third day, rose from the dead, and later ascended into heaven. These beliefs are held by the vast majority of Christian denominations.
That's the only stuff a Christian need to concern them self with.

I'm a Roman Catholic Christian, and let me answer your second question.

We do not reject the Theory of Evolution. If someone tells you that Charles Darwin or Evolutionists are evil, then sorry to burst you bubble sugar, but that someone is not practicing Christianity at all.

The Book of Genesis tells us the story of Creation. While the Book tells us that God made us (and it is true in a Christian point of view), other statement there (e.g. Adam and Eve, the Snake, the Tree, 7 days of Creation) are all symbolical. The Book of Genesis should not be interpreted literally because it is understood, by logic and by convention, that this Book uses ALLEGORY to merely illustrate Creation.

If we accept this, then the Theory of Evolution should not be rejected. Evolution is a science that MIGHT BE (for it is not yet really proven for it to be a law) an answer to how we are created; or exactly WHAT the Book of Genesis is telling us - how God created the world.

Your mummy says so? whta proof is that? how does she know?

And several volumes... well plenty more science ones with more then mummy says so but scientific proof.

Ie the bible says the world is around 4000 years. But scientists using the same metod they use to date dinosaur bones or dead bodies etc can date the world millions of yearts ago... proving the bible lies.

Likewise all the studies on dinosaurs.

And by studdying how animlas develop evolution is clearly obvous especailly say chimp behavour which is very much like gangs

I don't think self proclaimed atheists are rejecting God so much as they are rejecting the twaddle that comes from modern day fundies.

Unfortunately, they don't understand that this superstitious bunch is a minority of Christians. Most of us are rational and like able people, and believe being a Christian doesn't mean you have to make a fool of yourself on a regular basis as some on YA are known to do. (sorry guys, but the truth is the truth).

lol "because my mummy says so" is not really proof, but whatever floats your boat.
Have you never noticed really hairy humans? looking a little ape like? we have just evolved not to need that much hair as the world has warmed.
Humans still have a fascination with faeces if you'd care to take note. its a regular topic for humour, and have you never seen flaming poo on a porch?

not so unlike our ape cousins now are we?

I say no gods exist, because I have studied the major religions, and I see that there is no scientific and logical evidence to support their existence. Contradictions and poor knowledge of science prove the so-called words of the gods are ignorant nonsense and makes the existence of such divine simpletons impossible.

athiests don't say we came from monkeys....

I dont even think there IS a theory that we came from monkeys. I believe there is a theory that homo sapiens and monkeys BOTH evolved from the same creature, possibly a homo erectus, but im not an expert.

I like your humour though when pointing out how ridiculous the justification for religion is

The Bible must be right because there's talking Donkeys, snakes, and demonic pigs.
Evolution must be wrong because it would involve talking (or 'evolved') monkeys and fish.

Sounds logical enough.
Or that your against monkeys.

It's never too early for tequila.

i dont believe in hell so that a pointless threat... like saying santa claus wont bring me gifts

there is evidence for evolution not for god
if you were to prove that god existed you would win a noble prize because you would have provided the answer to all the greatest questions ever... meaning of life etc....

these have never been answered because there is no evidence to support the god theory
so we must look everywhere

if you want people to believe in god find evidence.... real evidence not just "its in the bible"

who said we came from monkeys? we descend from an ape like creature very closely related to monkeys! They are our cousins.. get over it we're animals too!

How can anybody really believe that woman came from man's rib? that's 1004372 times stupider.. and even so their children screwed each other and had kids.. gross

oh yeah and how are there white people and black people if there were two people who started it all? wouldn't we all look alike?.... you're crazy!

I bet you think the world is flat too, don't you?
