It is amazing and humbling to realize that He can use even the negative to bring around a positive. Even a diamond is made more beautiful after it is cut and polished. So too I believe He uses much in our lives to shape us if we let Him.

of something that has to do with religion? For example: I said, "I don't believe in God." Then I get 9 thumbs down, and one thumbs up. Obviously the thumbs down are from those who are are believers. Why can't you just accept that people have different views? You don't have to be pushing your religion or punishing others just because they don't believe in something you do. Seriously, grow up and get over it.

This is serious. My crisis of faith continues. People say it was cause God needed justice for our sins. But wait a minute surely God is above needing justice, surely he is so powerful that we are completely laughable to Him. Why would He care what we do? Why require sacrifice and justice if you're the most powerful in the universe? Would it not be like me getting angry with a cheeky mouse? Would I not be silly to be angry with a mouse so much less than me.

it always upsets me when almost every one, from where ever Blames everything on Religion.
why cant we all see with our eyes and hearts, that
a man or woman behind any religion is responsible for their own actions. Not the Religin it self.
we do have the free will to choice the right way.

The church is now saying there is no limbo where unbaptised people go after life on earth. Jesus said "Only through me will you enter the kingdom of heaven". Not any more. All you have to do now is live a good life and you will get into heaven. You don't even need to be baptised.

When Christians say that Ishmael was the son that came by mistake or the son that came through a bondswoman so he is not legitimate do they try to deny his legitimacy ?

Would any man of sound moral character deny he fathered a child to get out of making payments of support ?

Not unless the descendants of the second son wanted to write it out later so they could claim to be the sole heir.

The bible calls Hagar the WIFE of Abraham and repeatedly calls Ishmael HIS SON.

Are Christians implying that God does not control all things including the birth of a son to Abraham ?

Or are they implying something more racist or hateful ?

Is this the root source of animosity in the middle East….. a racist attitude of superiority ?

If the two sons of Isaac (Jacob/Esau) according to the bible - can have so much jealousy, hatred, bloodshed and use so much deception to steal away the rights of the first born then who says they cant write their own version into the bible ?

This would explain the contradictions in the story about Ishmael teasing Isaac when in reality Ishmael was sent to Arabia when he was an infant.

Islam does not subscribe to any of the racist stories concerning Sarah, Isaac or Ishmael and Hagar.

Islam states that BOTH sons were to be given a covenant with God to make the Lord known to mankind.

JUDAISM IS THE COVENANT GIVEN TO ISAAC.

ISLAM IS THE COVENANT GIVEN TO ISHMAEL.


PAULS VERSION OF “Jesus the Gentile” :

Genesis 017:009-10 ---Then God said to Abraham, "As for you, you must keep my covenant, you and your descendants after you for the generations to come.
This is my covenant with you and your descendants after you, the covenant you are to keep: Every male among you shall be circumcised.

Galatians 05:002 ---- Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all.

1) An exceptionally gifted politician with an excellent track record at all levels of government who is recognised as an international statesman and who, as such, has the respect of the international community who happens to be an atheist.

2) A mediocre politician who makes numerous public and private gaffes, who has achieved little in public office and who is largely unknown internationally and who happens to be a Christian.

I'm having a crisis of faith. Please help me christians. Surely God did not have to have such an awful sacriface for us to be clean? Why not just forget about all and forgive us anyway? God is allmighty, all knowing and all powerful... so he KNOWS how people think... perhaps only those who intend good go to heaven... not believing in Jesus. If he is fair... are you saying that a fair, just loving god will send a human being of his creation to ETERNAL punishment...torture, horrible pain forever...for simply being brought up a non-christian... not believing... does a person deserve that pain forever for being brought up the way they were...they had a choice.. THATS NOT THE POINT. They did not know what the right answer was...so they did not chose bad... the bible contradicts itself... you christians know what Jesus said about displaying religion...keep it to YOURSELF. So DONT throw it in others faces... God is fair and loving...he won't send billions to eternal horrrible pain for not belieiving... noone... NO-ONE deserves eternal punishment.. are you saying its fair... someone who does not know about jesus to pay eternal punishment FOREVER... GOD IS FAIR. JUST.
