You are a human first. You are going to make mistakes and be insecure. Being committed to a religion or not won't save you from all those growing pains we all go through.

Seek the truth about the whole God thing. Learn the original languages of the scriptures and compare the key words to english. There u'll put pieces of the puzzel together. Learn of the contradictions in the bible and the fact that we are Gods too like it says in Ps-82:6.

An angel is a messenger but in order to convey the message, u must have the knowledge to communicate with the "double edge sword" which is symbolic of dual languages. No need to commit yourself entirely and miss out the fun in life, but have a time where u can reflect & STUDY.

U're young and u can be that angel. Peace in your quest.

I'm not sure what you mean by "commit to God". You are only 15, and it's normal to question such things at your age, you are still trying to find out who you are at the moment. I guess you are talking about getting "saved"? Or are you asking about living up to a religious standard you have been brought up with?
Everyone falls short of those standards at one time or another. When you are commited to a relationship with God, the difference is in how you deal with it and react to it on those occasions when you do fall short. As for being a complete angel, each person has thier own definition of what that is, some folks think any form of fun is the devil's work, while others have a much broader definition between what is "fun" and what is "sin". I guess it depends on whose definition of such things you are trying to live up to. You are only 15, as you mature, you will think about things, and determine a set of standards for yourself. There is nothing that says you have to commit to a certain teaching today, take your time and think about who you are, and who you want to become, and eventually you will choose a direction that you think will help you get there. Good luck....

I have felt this way before many times. But I look at it this way. If I don't commit to God, I will lose my eternal life. I'll miss out on heaven. NOTHING in this old world can compare to all the fun things we'll get to do in heaven. If you throw away heaven for the fleeting pleasures of this world that don't last, you are missing out on an eternity of joy and fun that you can't even imagine, and that lasts forever.
Also, you won't be expected to be a complete "angel." You are still human and you will still make mistakes. But God will forgive you. You aren't expected to be perfect. Your walk with God is a process. As you become closer to Him, you won't even want to do the things that are often referred to as the "pleasures of sin." It will separate you from God and you won't want to be separated from Him because of your love for Him.
Please don't throw away your eternal life for the pleasures of this world. It isn't worth it. Choose God.
I'm praying for you.

You want sin in your life? That amazes me. If that is what you want I pray you get it out of your system before you get in too deep and it damages you. There is a price to be paid for rebellion. Most of our laws are still based on the LAW Moses received directly from God. If you want to break those you will end up explaining your actions to the state. If you break the ones the state does care about there are other dangers such as disease, poverty, loss of respect of those you care about, or even death. There is happiness and joy in living the Christian life. True Love for God, family, a special person God will send into your life, and then your own children, will far surpass any "thrill" you would ever get out of a life of sin. I hope you are wise it is a rear thing for someone as young as you, still I will pray that you will have wisdom.... Jim

Property Rights

Under the laws of Islam, women have obtained the right to sell and buy properties, own business, take legal actions, vote, and participate in political affairs. Inheritance law was/is also among the most important rights. According to Islam, a woman inherits, half the share of her brother. At the same time a daughter, can chose but has no the obligation to support her parents or children, while her brother does. A man, a brother, has the obligation, by the rules of Islam, to support his mother, wife, children, sisters, and the children of his sisters if necessary. If a woman, a mother, a sister did not have the wealth or the desire to support her children, it would become the duty of her brother to support them. The Prophet (swa) has introduced the rules and the laws for humanity, some honor the rules and some chose not to. Under Islamic law, women also have control not only over their property but also dowry claims. Once she is married, she may demand her dowry from her husband at any time, and in the case of divorce, she would receive her share of the property.

Marriage and the Right to Divorce

According to the laws of Islam a man and a woman have the right to choose their partner and they should not be forced into marriage. Fatima, the Prophet's daughter was educated, beautiful and respectful. It is narrated that when Amir al momenin Ali asked for Fatima's hand in marriage Prophet (swa) did not respond to Ali until he asked Fatima for her decision. Divorce is permitted in Islam under specific terms and conditions. According to the laws of Islam one may end a marriage by divorce if there is a definite cause for such an action.

Polygamy is a tradition practiced in many cultures, yet Islam restricted it by setting regulations. These regulations are very severe, and a very few can practice it. Quran (IV:3) reads: "If you feel that you will be able to deal justly with orphans, marry the women of your choice one, two, three, or four. But if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with them, then marry only one." The verse emphasize being just not only to the women but also to their children, who would, otherwise, remain fatherless after their mothers became widowed -- a frequent occurrence during the early centuries of Islam, when men were often killed in wars. "Deal justly" refers to equal treatment, not only emotionally but also financially. The particular historical context of polygamy in Islam followed one of the harshest wars, where many men were killed, leaving a multitude of women widowed, fatherless, and without support. Also a Muslim man cannot marry a second wife without the permission of the first wife. With all these restricted regulations, according to the Islamic law, polygamy is possible but rare in practice

just cause you follow God doesn't mean you won't have fun. You'll just be using your right judgement to do what you're supposed to. and if what you consider fun gets in the way of God, then is what you're doing bad? God doesn't ask us to be complete angels all the time. have fun. just don't do stupid things. and by the way, I'm 15 too. I go out with friends all the time, I have fun, I just don't do stupid things.

Dont be afraid. I am 17 and living for God. And I LOVE how I am. I am so diffrent from everyone else. I have something so awesome. Its worth it. You dont loose anything. If sin is what you want then yes you are. But fun doesnt have to be bad only. Clean innocent fun is better.
