Let us not waste our time in straightening the tail of the dog. That is the way nature has made it. Similarly , the world goes in its own way ,straight for some and crooked for others, as per the aspirations and perspiration of people Like five blind men seeing the elephant and deducing differently as they perceive according to their own faculties in the absence a vision a vital faculty. None can change the shape of the elephant and it remains same ,for ever. Here ,the elephant is the world The blind men are the people Perception depends upon the perceiver, his likes, dislikes, knowledge, wisdom, intellect, rationality past experience etc and they are different for different people. Eventhough the mirror is same it shows different image for different people , when the stand in front of it. Like wise, the world is crooked or straight , depending upon the past experience and basic nature of people who experience the world

Even moreso when a lot of heat and pressure is placed on you from all directions, God is able to strenghten you through that walk and he takes that stone hard heart of yours and change it into a precious diamond, that reflects the light that is God. After you were once just a black piece of coal, fit for the furnace, the cutting and polishing is just icing on the cake.

I have yet to discover this to be true, old friend.
I am but a pawn in the game, and my horizon is very limited. I can only do that which is in my heart, and there have been too many surprises along the way, discovering those who do not welcome what I do.
You better than many know the truth of this.
Do you recall our last exchange, and how you treated me when you did not recognize me?
If it helped you, that much is good. But you made me pay a fierce price for your education.
And you are but the tip of the iceberg.

This is a painful process for the human being isn't it.Its alot less painful for a diamond,I will continue to say not my will but thy will be done,he is the potter. But it is still a painful process. For some more then others,I'm sure some has to do with a person who may be very stubborn. But once you commit to Jesus, there is no turning back.Only surrender.

Except a diamond is an inanimate object with no concept of pain, loss or suffering. A person isn't.

The quote you gave reminded me of that Rascal Flatts song that says "the winding road that led me straight to you".
But to answer you, I've never heard that expression before ... do you know its history?

We have faith that math and alphabets exist, yet truly
they have no mass, they cannot be seen, they cannot
be heard, nor can they be touched. If we have a belief
system that looks at things untouchable, unhearable and
we base our entire lives on it (ie: we need numbers
to dial, we need the alphabet to talk and write)...how
big of a stretch is it to have faith in God?
Did you know there hasn't been a single time where we
noticed random chemicals form a cell? Not a SINGLE time.
So why is it that we believe that we all started from
chemical pools and out of it came living organisms?
Did you know that atoms always remain in their element
and specific organization? An oxygen will always be
oxygen, a helium atom will always have properties of
a helium atom. You see these elements and atoms have
LAWS, they are pre-made. They do not evolve, they do
not transfer properties. They maintain a constant mode
of programming. If this doesn't prove God exist, it
at least surely proves that there are constants in the
universe, and these 'constants' have been setup somehow,
someway.
The formality of atoms and how they interact is incredible.
Imagine clouds in the sky forming specific shapes and
having specific functions rather than just random cloud
vapors being moved by the wind. If you started seeing
clouds in the sky making formations and reacting to each
other, you're going to ask yourself -- what in the world
makes them do that? Who setup the rules?
The answer? God. It certainly isn't evolution.
So what's this business about God and salvation?
What's the whole point of salvation? Check this: God at the
beginning of time sets up laws, scientific laws, gravity,
etc. He also sets up a basic law of obedience: love God and
love your neighbor. Man broke these two laws (the core of
the Ten Commandments). All of us break these laws. God has
already said if you don't follow these laws you will be put
to death. But since He loves His creation, He doesn't want
to destroy them. He wants a way to save them. But how?
Sacrifice. Executing the consequence but on someone else.
But who could be worthy enough to be sacrified for billions
of people since the beginning of time? God. So He went to
earth, and died for the sins of man.
All He asks now is for you to accept that. That is
salvation. He doesn't want you to pull up a list of things
so you can be 'Christian'. He just wants you to accept that
He died for you and that your sins are forgiven when you ask
of it to be.
Now how about attitudes and following laws and
regulations and all this jazz. You have to see God as a
friend rather than a cop. Just for an example, if you
hang out with friends that smoke all the time, you are
influenced to do so yourself and might take up smoking.
In the same way, if you hang out with God and people that
believe in Him, you will be influenced to live that kind of
life. The change is progressive, and to some people
instant. But it all starts out with befriending God.
