My dear, aside from the whiteness of my hair, I have looked much like this since I was 19. Being 50, I can only wish I should look as good as some of my friends when I reach 51.
As for defining "old" as "past 50", that will change as you approach that age ;-)

Honey, I cannot wait until you hit 50 to see how much your opinions have changed by then. It's funny how things will change when you mature a little and develop a few sags and wrinkles of your own.
My husband is 51, and he's still in pretty darned good shape. His hair has a touch of grey at the temples, but other than that, he's still got lots of blond hair, the way that he did when I married him.
So since it only takes one exception to disprove a generalization, I guess that shoots down your theory.

Hi there, my boyfriend was very close to fifty and he was the most handsome, gentleman of all time. He definitely wasn't bald or pot bellied. Brown with blonde streaked hair. He was beautiful inside and out. Maybe you are seeing the same fella all the time grins. Blessed be.

57, not bald, no pot belly, might be able to shake your rafters all night (or die trying) What about woman over 50? They look like men over 50. Grey hair, mustaches, nose hair, turkey neck, floppy arms, the only difference is they have breast hitting the belly, we dont.

Hey girlie, We old folks have a saying; "Life is short". You're on your way to finding out just how short life really is. The day is coming when you'll wonder with amazement, where all the years went. And you'll be looking like the rest of us.....alike!

Hmm don't know who you are seeing, but all men over 50 were I live look different from each other. Some are in shape, some are not. As a matter of fact, there is this dude that lives down the street from me. He's in his 60's and he's very very nice looking. I often catch myself saying......."Shoot! I bet he was FINE!!! back in his day"

Exposure to the sun = similar effects on wrinkles and other damages to the skin. These old guys didn't have the proper science back then, that going out in the sun hurts you down to the genetic level.
Fortunately we have it now. Stay out of the mid-afternoon sun (early mornings are okay)! Otherwise, you'll look like them!

For the same reason all women after 50 get their hair cut like a mans and gains even more weight than the 50 year old man does.
Neither is attractive.

Do they? A lot of older men lose hair and gain weight as they age.
But not all of them. Take Richard Dawkins. He still has a head full of long hair, and he didn't inflate after he turned 50.
