Triggered by otherwise meaningless things that happened today. Explains wierdnesses I've shown over the years.
Suppressed for 30 years because it would be deemed immoral by my family and church which led to guilt that I couldn't reconcile. Not traumatic other than my own guilt from it.
I could have left the situation but chose not to.
Not illegal or planned or initiated by me, not done against anyone's will, wouldn't harm anyone except the boat it would rock for my family & some friends. I'm very conscienscious of morals & mores honoring them for the love of other people & respect for their beliefs.
When this memory came back, I remembered my guilt but I don't believe what I did was wrong. It was a first act I took apart from my upbringing, not rebellion. I'm having trouble with this & looking for ways to address it?
I'm considering the following; other serious ideas are appreciated:

Back in the olden times Jesus was supposed to be the messiah of the Jewish people and the Jewish religion. However the Jewish people shunned him, and did not accept him. So my question to you is this. If your messiah does come how will you accept him? How will you know that hes the messiah and not just shun him off, like you did Jesus. Why would all of a sudden accept him?Whats your criteria?

Not trying to offend anybody, just wondering
Please only serious answers, much appreciated

My son found a little bracelet today at church that has the Hebrew characters of "ayin, mem and shin" on it - and in that order. My research is coming up with conflicting answers.

What does this bracelet mean in English?

when trying to argue against any scientific theory of existence contradicting creation. this is that time is just a measurement created by man and its not a force of reality, when in fact the very opposite is true. now you may say, oh so we chanced upon this, well, yes and no. the reason we measure time the way we do is just how things are, it could have been measured any number of ways but idk its just measured in minutes and hours and days and years. more to the point any one making the claim against this should know light can't go faster that 3x10^8 m/s so if a laser beam is bouncing between two mirrors in a space ship to a person on the ground it is moving horizontally and vertically in the same amount of time that it is just moving vertically for the person in the space ship, since speed cannot be changing time must therefore be relative, this is the basis of the theory of relativity, any questions now christians, and others feel free to email me.

Fellow christians i ask you to set aside a moment for the deluded and lost to give a final attempt to save their confused and brainwashed souls from being cast into total horrid suffering and traumitization. Non believers please take thy hand of the closest christian or find a christian church and pray and beg for thee to show you the path away from the losers and into the abyss of god so you may live forever in the clouds to pray and worship thee....i am waiting...with hand outreached. thank you

In 1633 Galileo Galilei wrote his abjuration for stating and teaching his dicovery that the Earth moves around the Sun. Such outlandish idea contradicted the religious beliefs that the Earth is the center of the universe. Did modern or any church for that matter did anything to apologized to Galileo Galilei? Does anyone know?

...why do you think they were wrong? They were his own people and they thought he was a fake - up close and personal, too.

What's your take on this...? It sort of makes you scratch your head a little, doesn't it?

Alright, if what you say about god is true, then how come I always use Jesus and god's names in vain, am atheist, ridicule religon and such, why do I have sucha great life? Oh that's right, because only I control what happens in my life! There isn't any ghostly thing doing that for me! So what justifies god?

Hi! A nice atheist wants to know...
When you talk about Jesus dying for mankind's sins, you make it seem like it was such a sad and terrible thing that he died. However, if he hadn't died, think of the consequences. Would the Christian religion be the same? What if he had lived to be an old man? Besides, he knew he had to do this for mankind. People still die for causes today, and none for such an important one.
Yet people are angry with the "Christ killers." Shouldn't the "Christ killers" be praised, for making the Christian religion what it is?

I'm an atheist, and have been for the last year or so.

I won't get into too much boring detail, but the one thing I really miss is having faith in "God" to get me through some difficult situations from time to time.

I guess it's like missing an invisible friend I had for a number of years. I know it sounds like mental illness, but I just mean when you are used to depending on something for a long time it's a hard habit to break.

Oh well, I guess the comfort should be in following the truth, right?

Dear diehard Bible thumpers,

How is it that you can use the bible as a source of FACT when answering questions about God, universe, etc? If I showed you a book that looked really old it said that God lives on the Moon so he can watch us, would you believe that?

Don't say the the Bible proves that the Bible is true...that is just preposterous.

Don't you ever think about where earth and the universe came from on your own? Do you think you would come to the same conclusions if the Bible never existed? Would your entire world crumble if the Bible were shown to be just stories?

I am just asking questions, not necessarily trying to be a jerk...

Sincerely,
diehard Ponderer

I ask because I have noticed that a lot of people who declare that it is sinful take other kinds of legal drugs to help them sleep and for other related reasons.
