I've heard this two or three times on this board. I tried to google it and got nothing. Anybody know what the reference is to?

I think its a reference to a line in Judges that states that the tribe of Simon could not conquer a valley because of the iron chariots, but a verse latter it says with the help of God the conquered the mountains.

Their are a lot of biblical commentators that discuss the meaning of this verse but that is neither here nor there

ah here is the verse for you

Judges 1:19
The LORD was with the men of Judah. They took possession of the hill country, but they were unable to drive the people from the plains, because they had iron chariots.

God is not afraid of iron chariots. The armies of God, Jewish, were afraid and this was doubting God's provisions of his armies to defeat other armies that had chariots. Horse back or iron chariots was a great advantage against men on foot. It was the armies that feared their enemies not God. God easily took care of the Egyptian armies when they tried to reclaim the Jewish slaves from Moses and parting the red sea.

The verse is:
19 And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.
Judges 1:19 (KJV)

It is suppose to prove that God is not omnipotent. However, it was not God that failed it was the lack of faith on the part of Judah.

"And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron."
~ Judges 1:19 (KJV)

Makes it sound like iron is God's kryptonite.

Maybe it's just someone with a speech impediment who considers themselves as an " ironic character" that even God should fear.

God isnt scared of anything.and God can never be scared or hurt or killed. God is superhuman meaning He isnt afraid of anything and meaning he dont have any weaknesses.
