it is awesome!!! how better to know someone else's view than to learn it and understand it. it is a great way to be able reach out to buddhist and be able to bring them to CHRIST.
my husband is currently learn about muslims so that he may be able to reach out and teach them the new testament.

i really didn't understand a lot of the bible until i started studying other religions, the " teachers " usually tend to focus on the differences, but we can learn a lot from the similarities, i think it says something about that in Mattews, about how the hypocrites and pharisees focus on the outer cup while their bowl is filled with " crap "

Sure, why not. Religion is just a tool for bettering yourself. Usually you need more than one tool to get the job done.

i dont think its all that wrong. i have a friend who has the same idea. my advice is dont commit to any certain religion unless you are sure that is what you believe. you dont want to be confirmed if your thinking of becoming muslim. just take your time and explore. it doesnt have to be because you want to get better at yours, but if it works thats excellent. its not wrong at all. just dont lose sight of what you really believe.

No, there is nothing wrong in it. All authentic religions are coming from one God, and learning more about them helps to appreciate that and mature in our spiritual pursuits.

Just make sure you do it in the correct order. Anything above Christianity will help you better yourself.

There is nothing wrong in expanding the knowledge, Hiduism forces you to it because we think all paths lead to god. I pray to jesus, allah, and buddha despite being an orthodox hindu.

I loved that episode! And no, it isn't wrong. As long as you're not hurting anyone else (even if they have bets going), you're fine.
