Psalm 19:8
The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
Jeremiah 15:16
When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear your name, O LORD God Almighty.

1 Chronicles 16:33
Then the trees of the forest will sing, they will sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth.

ok I'm not religion bashing here, and definitely not trying to begin some philosophical christian vs. etc debate, but...
if christians are taught that we're made in the likeness of god, and then also are taught that they're miserable sinners....
where does that leave god?
(ok so for all you religious minded, WITHOUT being rude, let's try something else besides "heaven" and "everywhere")

God forbade us from doing something good so when we defied him we did something bad?

Just wonder if anyone has come to a spiritual belief in a super natural being outside of mainstream religion.

Psalm 31:19
How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you.

Psalm 69:16
Answer me, O LORD, out of the goodness of your love; in your great mercy turn to me.

I know the arguement that the child has no choice, but rest assure the chid is in a better place.

The doctors and mothers will be judged by God, not us.

Why is it that we are so fast to say that the beauty of Christianity is that God has given us free will, yet in the next breath we are willing to take away someone else's free will?

A point of interest - I Nephi 13:26: “a great and abominable church - has taken away from the gospel of the Lamb many parts which are plain and precious; and also many covenants of the Lord have they taken away.”

The Book of Mormon tells us that this is 600 B.C.! Do you know what B.C. means - BEFORE CHRIST! So we are told that the gospel of the Lamb has been polluted six hundred years before the Lamb or His Gospel was recorded in the New Testament and given at the Passover!

"is this then what it is to be a god? to know and never do to watch the world.......if i should feed the world, heal all the wounds mans smoldering industries have made what would he do? would he renouce the wealth the sawmills bring step gently on the flowers instead...for this abuntant world in all its providence?
no
he would pump more poisons build more mines safe in the knowledge that i stood at hand...endlessly covering the scars he could now endlessly inflict.
i cannot mend the world without committing a greater wrong...
mankind must stand or fall by its merits alone"

I just read that God actually talks to people, He even seems to instruct some people to ask a specific question in this section.

So, I was wondering if Satan talks to us too. Concidering the fact that his 'greatest lie is telling the world he doesn't exist', I'm sure he does talk to us.

But has anybody actually heard him talk directly to them?

The Book of Mormon, II Nephi 29:6 states “Thou fool, that shall say a Bible, we have got a Bible and we need no more Bible. Have ye obtained a Bible save it were by the Jews?”
Can you note the FOOLS are the only ones who trust in the Bible? Read verse 10. Here, the Book of Mormon declares the need for more revelation and makes way for its own existence! 2 Nephi 29:10
Wherefore, because that ye have a Bible ye need not suppose that it contains all my words; neither need ye suppose that I have not caused more to be written.

Should you trust Joe??

The Bible is a hypothetical by denotative definition. The "Creationism Theory" is based on the Words of the Bible.
A Theory may not rest on the proof of a Hypotheses' words.

So, I attempted to correct a person who mistakeningly tried to posit that the Bible specifically states that the earth was a 3 dimensional sphere. I attempted to point out that the Bible actually calls the earth a flat circle - which is not the same thing.

This is a shining example of the type of response we "Brights" get:
"its called paraphrasing mo ron! i kno how to spel your and actualy idiot its you're not your duh!any way a circle is a circle is sphere a dome what ever its round mo ron, and no i didnt twist any scripture i pulled it straight word for word from the bible, and no it does'nt say anything about the earth being built on pillers and oh yes shipping lanes are in the bible try reading it you uneducated bafoon.aparently your grammer aint to hot pal. find out about the discovery of shipping lanes the man who discovered them and WHERE he discovered them and show me your youre you're magical verses about the earth being built on pillers..then email me back if you think"

"A woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. She gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. The woman fled into the desert to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days" Isn't this woman Virgin Mary?

Since you don't celebrate bdays, xmas, thanksgiving, and the likes but you have parties for wedding anniversaries, baby/bridal showers, events that has no pagan connections, will it be proper for you to throw a party or celebrate after an individual's baptism? Some say it's OK but some say it is not appropriate...What about GIFTS? are those appropriate to give to the newly baptized as a welcome gesture to the truth?

I'm looking for answers from mature Christians who actually know the answer. For those who are new, please do research before you answer. thank you.

Since he is omniscient, he already knows past and future right? He already knows who will go to hell and who won't.

So why the wait eh?

Even according to the rules of your theology this doesn't make sense.

If God is omniscient, he has already seen Armaggeddon happen; why doesn't he just chuck some of us in the lake of fire now and take the rest to heaven? He already knows the end result...

I mean you DO understand that satan is nothing more than a fictional character designed to keep the gullible sheep in the pews and the collection plate full, right?
I mean no one in this day and age could possibly believe or think that this mythological god of the christian underworld is any more real than Pluto or Orcus or any other mythological figure.
Right?
