So, I attempted to correct a person who mistakeningly tried to posit that the Bible specifically states that the earth was a 3 dimensional sphere. I attempted to point out that the Bible actually calls the earth a flat circle - which is not the same thing.
This is a shining example of the type of response we "Brights" get:

ROTFLMAO! Thats friggin priceless!! Three spelling mistakes, two grammar mistakes, and one sntax mistake, all in one sentence composed of a total of 7 words!! 6 out of 7 wrong. Thats a failing grade, aint it?? LOL!!!!!

My only comment is that this guy does absolutely NOT represent ALL Christians, as you say. I know very intelligent Christians, well versed in both Christian theory as well as science, post-modern analysis, other religions, etc. Just as I know some unbelievably moronic atheists, agnostics, etc.
This guy, though, needs to lay off whatever drugs he's on...or maybe he needs to get on some drugs to calm him down off of whatever crazy hormone trip his brain is putting him through.

It may not be worth your time to reason with fools. Normally I don't pick on spelling and grammar, but when it becomes hard to read and figure out what's being said, I don't like it. Since when does a 2D shape equal a 3D shape? That guy should be sent back to school.
If I'm not mistaken, it does say somewhere in there (yes, I'm not sure where) about the sky being held up by pillars or something to that effect. I don't recall anything about shipping lanes however.

I could spend all day trying to fix what this person wrote, but honestly, it gives me a headache just trying to read it.
Oh, and I agree, a circle IS a circle, but it is a far cry from a circle to a dome or a sphere.
Some people just didn't pay attention in geometry class.
