If you were born in 1900, your life expectancy was 47 years, born in 2000, your life expectancy is 70 years. If you were born in the year 1 let's say your life expectancy was 33 years... So the Bible was written as fact by people that were not born, and maybe their parents were not born when the "Jesus" story was happening... Can you tell a story, with such specific details, of events that may have happened to someone that your great grandparent may have heard of?

How can we make America safe from the deviant liberal philosophies like homosexuality, and evolution? What can we do to get Americans to follow our Lord & Savior, Mr. Jesus Christ?

Jehovah Witnesses do not believe in hell...nor do they believe in the diety of Jesus Christ.

Mormons believe a bunch of weird stuff.....like the Book of Mormon. They also believe that as God is now, man can become (after he dies, he will have his own universe to rule)....that is if you are white and a man...not a woman.

Why do so many people believe their lies?

I'm going to take a break from here for a while. It's a huge investment of my time, and it's taking too much away from my life.

I'll be back sometime.

So...shall I just wave, or throw kisses?

Is it because you believe that you'll die someday and go to heaven and have no more such suffering?

If you study the Bible thoroughly (and of course that would take a long time) you will eventually discover the true nature of that particular god. Church people have only a shallow knowledge of the Bible.

Question: Can you tell me of anything that is a better tool for atheists than the Bible?

I'll give you just one example among thousands: According to the Bible god, if I discover my family worshiping a false god I am entirely within my rights to stone them. You can read all about it in Deuteronomy.

Things like the passing of someone you love, serious illness or other tragedy or trauma? I've often wondered about this, having been through some tough times myself. I have my faith in God, but what does someone do who doesn't believe in God? I'm not being condescending or patronising--I really want to know. Thanks.

The Bible says that 2000+ years ago a boy was born of a virgin then when he grew up he walked on water.
And was Crucified then resurected on the third day!

How can you deny your Lord and savior!?

I have read the bible, front to back, 4 times. I realize that even though popular belief is that Jesus says the old testement doesn't count, Jesus himself says that until the end of the world everything single letter of the old testement still applies. I also know that the reason Jesus said this is because the character Jesus (Jeshua, actually) is an othodox Jew.

I personally don't need the extended bible quotes in responses to my questions. I'm not seeking clarification on holy scripture, I've been there, done that. What I'm seeking to do is to get you to think about what you've been taught and incite an interest in finding factual evidence of the scripture that you quote.

Quoting the bible is nothing new to me, I can quote with the best of them. What I'm asking you to do is PROVE IT. In order to do that you'll actually have to do some research that counters the millenia of research that says that it is fiction pulled from local folklore and other religions. Are you up to it?

I believe Jesus Christ is savior and I believe in God, but I don't agree with everything in Christianity, such as eternal damnation, I dosen't make sense for God to send others to a "hell" Any argument Christians come up with is not valid either. It is unfair for people who have never heard the so called good news Gospel (sounds more like bad news) to go to hell. I dont take the bible literally, even some of what jesus said makes no sense. If your eye causes you to sin cut it out (even a blind person can still lust) I am at wits end trying to figure out which church to belong to. But I don't want to attend church ever again. I can believe in Christ all by myself I don't have to go to church. Even Christians cant agree what to believe. Look at the thousands of denominations.

Do not worry too much. This summer is going to be good for everyone, as I have been warming the globe with extra ferocity these last few years and I have a good feeling that I'll finally melt that pesky ice cap.

Anyway, have a good day, and remember that you have mearly to look up at the midday sun to see me.

sometimes when there are thought provoking questions, i am surprised at who answers them the most intelligently. quite often it's the smart *ss's who come up with answers to the questions other people are literally saying "huh?" to.
