Two groups of people seek proximity of God, those who revere Him publicly and are held in high regard by the sacred law, and those who do not display their devotion. Secure in the knowledge that God alone bestows all that is good or bad in this world, they choose Him as their companion and are delivered of want. The former because of their own need remain veiled from divine guidance, while the latter transcend through selflessness.

An answer to an earlier question used the "complexity" of the eye to suggest their must be a "designer"(gee........does that mean a god?), and that evolution is obviously wrong because of that. When will these guys get an education or learn how to research?

The box jellyfish is a marvelous example of the eyes evolution. It has well developed lenses which focus poorly. The reason for the poor focus is they don't have a brain to proccess the information, so the eyes (4 sets of six) have a single purpose that they have evolved for. As brains developed in other animals, their was more use for these eyes and their funcinality improved.

A quick search for an article to back up my arguement led me to this location: http://pharyngula.org/index/weblog/comments/jellyfish_eyes/

You hear it all the time, the Boston strangler killed all those women who looked like the ex that dumped him. Stories of men who kill their own children because his wife threatens to leave him or because shes had an affair., as happened here in the UK recently, this guy went crazy killed his wife and 3 kids after he discovered her affair..Why do men act so crazy over women?

True women can act crazy too, but men perpetrate the majority of the violent crimes.

Does this not sound as if this was the reason that Bush put in Samuel Alito Jr. in the place of Sandra Day O'Connor?

Your thoughts?

I know the Bible says honor thy father&mother and that is what i've always tried to do. But does that mean in matters of relationship or personal matters in your life? My mom continuously expresses disapproval over my relationship with a guy because hes older than I am (48 and i'm 25). I don't think it's a big deal but she sure does. I'm just wondering if i'm "dishonoring" her by continuing a relationship that obviously bothers her so much? I know that you live your own life but i'm just beginning to wonder if she's seeing things that I might not see.,,,

If Aliens popped in on us, found a women and asked her what she thought about being artificialy impreginated by a super being and she was one of these religious types and thought she was seeing angels so she said yes lord do your will, and she concieved and had a virgin birth, and the baby preached love, you all would worship him?
Think about it! Life after death, rising from the grave, 2000 yrs ago cpr would be a miricle! A tech culture might have cloning down as a art form! He died I seen it but he's back I saw him, so I killed him myself, but now many of him are following me around! Don't get me wrong cloning could be a good thing, but so could nuke power! Most religious types claim to be open minded, but most will not be able to ponder these truths!

I know, I'm a sad, sad little man!

I first asked about this some10 hours ago, but it seems people didn't understand where I was coming from.

Australia is in the grip of its worst drought in a hundred years.

The prime minister has refused to acknowledge climate change until a few months ago.

Now through poor crop choice & over zealous irrigation, our major river system is drying up and irrigation will stop completely in a few weeks threatening several food crops.

Today, the PM said "We should all pray for rain"

Australia has over 20% non-believers. Telling an atheist they should pray is quite insulting. We're supposed to have seperation of church & state, which such a statement ignores.

Church leaders are free to tell their followers to pray, but the PM is the leader of the WHOLE community, atheists included. Telling us we should pray is like him refusing to acknowledge our stand. I want it to rain to, but I will NOT pray for it

Shouldn't he stick to politics & leave religious issues to the clergy

I mean it is generaly a matter of opinon when it comes to christianlity on who believes it to be so.There may be a lot of people who follow this way more then not.but here's something to think about:: what if everyone was jumping off a bridge I mean most people believed it to be the right thing to do,this does not make it the right thing to do just because everyone is following this way.I am not against any religion in any way I just don't understand why christians try to force thier ideas and thoughts and ways on others.
How does one really know anything when it comes to religon.Christianity is a widely spread religion.,yes.But that does not mean that is the only way.You as christains anyone of you out there that do this should respect other religions because you never know we may all have a lot to learn from eachother. We could all have a little bit of the truth.
So why don't the christians stop pushing your views on others and let us come to you if we wish too

This is reportedly the earliest church located in Israel. The inscription on the mosaic is written by Roman soldiers who were believers and meeting there. It also is proof that even the Christians of that early era believed in Jesus as being God revealed in human form. Interesting?
I cite Biblical Archaeology Review March/April 2007
That publication is not a peer review periodical
(That means it is not biased to any particular faith)

I am only just begining my journey as a solitary wiccan. I have a high priest friend helping me learn. I know i have 'come home' and i am on the right path. My children aged 3,7,14, are very interested. I dont want them to do this just because i am, but i am pleased in my heart. I have read the following..............Teach only what you know, to the best of your ability, to those students who you choose, but teach not to those who would use your instructions for destruction or control. Also, teach not to boost pride, forever remember: She who teaches out of love shall be enfolded in the arms of the Goddess and God.
I do not know how to move forward with them... or should i ask them to wait and observe only untill they are older? I am seeking opinions on this topic...anything would be helpfull!
Blessed Be)o(

The Law of the Power

The Power shall not be used to bring harm, to injure or control others. But if the need rises, the Power shall be used to protect your life or the lives of others.

The Power is used only as need dictates.

The Power can be used for your own gain, as long as by doing so you harm none.

It is unwise to accept money for use of the Power, for it quickly controls its taker. Be not as those of other religions.

Use not the Power for prideful gain, for such cheapens the mysteries of Wicca and magick.

Ever remember that the Power is the sacred gift of the Goddess and God, and should never be misused or abused.

And this is the law of the Power.
This being the law, is it wrong to work a spell on someone close to me because of problems with alcahol and anger issues? Is that affecting their free will? Is it classed as harming another? Do i really have to tell the person and gain permission?
Thank You for your oppinions.

So Smile... because he does. He loves you even if you have not decided to love him... He is knocking at the door of your heart and he is waiting for you to open that door and let him into your heart and soul... but he will never force you to open that door. You have to do it willingly. Once you let Jesus into your life you will feel the most unbelievable sense of peace and calm that you have ever felt. He takes our burdens and hardships away and he will only allow us to carry what we can hold.
Please... if you have never done so, will you allow him into your heart tonight? He will fill that void that you feel... he will close the gaps in your life. He is the one that you are searching for.
Come as you are.. He loves you!
All you have to say is ... "Jesus, come into my heart tonight. Show me your way, help me to see your plan for my life. Take my burdens from me."
Good Night and smile... because Jesus loves you...even if you have not chosen to love Him YET
Good night
