I asked a similar question a few hours ago and coped an absolute canning for daring to suggest that owning a gun goes against what chistians stand for.

So I thought I might try to explain myself better.

Christianity is supposed to be a passive religion. While in the OT, God sent the Isrealites on the war path, in the new testament, it's very clear that Jesus was pretty keen on the "love thy enemy" bit.

Guns ARE designed to kill. Someone protested that they are for shooting, not killing. I say that's a silly semantic arguement. A gun that fires bullets is a lethal weapon.

Another said that knives kill people too, but that's up close. Guns can kill from a distance and from a hidden location.

I can't imagine, if Jesus was the messiah, and was alive today, that he'd own a gun or condon his followers owning one.

It just seems to go against everything that christianity is supposed to stand for.

Or are christians meant to be violent rather than pacifists?

first one needs to resolve that the book is feasibly factual in suspected origin, given there is no source of evidence, this is a matter of faith.
then i notice that some decide which version they choose to follow.
apparently king james is popuar, is this because it sounds like the best deal, and easiest to stick to.
finally, evidently all who believe have a differing interpretation of the contents, whether its guessing, assimilating to ones lifestyle, word of mouth or what seems fair.
concidering all these variables, with no referece of definition, how can this be construed as a factual document, worthy of the life long dedication of so many

Before you wander off and inflame the innocent, which is what the clones are trying to do, check the profile of the poster - the membership date is always listed - if it's a clone or troll - ignore the post - or just post a disclaimer yourself. Stop attacking those who you think are attacking you. This forum is fast becoming a microcosm of the world - we would rather attack a supposed "enemy" rather than find the facts and turn our resources on the true violators.

It has been bothering me for quite some time. How is it possible that a person who is guilty of say murder, and have been acquited then at a later stage be found guilty but cannot be tried again. The Bible is very clear on this in that it say "The wages of Sin is Death" So, the Lord will forgive the sinner, He loves the sinner but hates the sin. For what happened with the consequance? If this person is then free what happened with his concious and where does he then pay for his wrong? I want to know WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CONSEQUANCE AND DO YOU THINK THAT THE LORD WILL FOGIVE SUCH A PERSON IF THERE IS STILL PUNISHMENT OUTSTANDING.ACCIRDUBG TO THE ABOVE SCRIPTURE THERE IS NO FORGIVENESS FOR SUCH A PERSON UNLESS HE GOES BACK AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT HE IS GUILTY AND SEEK PUNISHMENT, THEN THE LORD CAN FORGIVE HIM FOR HE HAS THEN BEEN PUNISHED HERE ON EARTH AND THERE WILL BE NO MORE PUNISHMENT (HELL) FOR SUCH A PERSON. i have an extremely hypocrite friend
she preaches all day but she lies a lot.and when she lied, she said stuff like "christians cannot lie,etc" and therefore i believe her lie.when i found out the truth, she still deny it until i manage to make her admit it after haviong some witnesses.

2ndly she is afraid when ppl said bad stuff bout her.eg if u say her art sucks she'll keep on denying it becoz shes afraid that it will come true(duh it is already true her art sucks).this is coz a stupid pastor preaches something like that to her.those buffoons

there r many more things which im lazy to type about.i just want to know how to deal wif those hypocrite idiots who will burn in hell?
