I am an atheist and I only believe in things that make sense to me. And "belief" does for me not mean an untouchable, undoubtable faith, all my beliefs are subject to review and criticism all the time, and when I find I cannot keep up one of my opinions I discard it.
I only believe in something when I have a reason to believe in it. And I have no reason to believe in gods, supernatural phenomenons, afterlife, heaven, hell, ghosts, reincarnation, santa claus, or the easter bunny.
For some strange reason, however, I DO believe in correct spelling. Therefore you could make me happy by spelling atheist correctly. Thanks.

1) It's spelled 'atheist'.
2) I don't believe in nothing, I just don't believe in gods or anything that has no evidence of existing.
3) Why do YOU believe in things without proof? Doesn't that seem like someone could easily rip you off? It's called gullibility.

I believe this question has been asked before. That's something isn't it?
But as you say, I don't believe in anything. I'm selective about what I believe. Just like you I imagine.

Excuse me, ignorant fool.
The athiests aren't the ones who don't believe in anything.
That'd be me.... or possibly "us" if there are any other Nihilists around.
We declare independance from the athiests in this case.

I believe there is no God because there is absolutely no proof for one. I believe in justice, honesty, peace, love, charity, liberty, democracy, equality, science, history, philosophy, math, and a myriad of other things. They make a lot more sense than the concept of any gods or godesses.

Wrong.
Atheists believe in something. They believe there is no god.
They can't prove their belief is right, just like christians can't prove that they are right.
That's why it's called belief.
Fact is that the Atheists belief seems much less far-fetched. After all, if god doesn't show himself or make himself heard, it seems logical to believe there is no god.
And after all, every single christian on the entire planet only believes in god because he has been told to do so by his fellow humans.
There is not a single christian who has been approached directly by god - even though many christians like to give god credit for 'sending' that first christian into their lives.

We believe in many things, one of the things we believe is that the book, the bible is just an old piece of fiction that has caused a lot of misery.

I believe in lots of things. Primarily I believe in myself. I just don't believe in any god telling me what to do. If he's that keen on telling me what the rules are, he can come down here and tell me personally.
