Pride comes before a fall. I would say they definitely have pride.

Enlightening misguided people. Bringing to them the 'false' reality of their hopes and aspirations for 'something better', meaning, final justice, reward and purpose for being born. Atheists should be rightly proud of replacing hope with hopelessness, defeat and meaningless.

Is it better for people to live with false hope, or to know that life is meaningless?

Atheists, please tell me how Atheism helps people, and helps the world? I have heard that Atheists can be proud, because they make people realise that they need to live for today, and that justice needs to be sought on this earth, and that the world will only change through people's own actions. These sound like great things (arguably they are present within religion too) but I have yet to see a movement of Atheists changing bad stuff in the world!! I would really love to see that. Instead of those kind of Atheists, I've seen individual Atheists (no movement), and many of them have adopted a live-for-yourself, nothing matters, approach to life.

I imagine the same as anyone here.

Did you do well at school? Have a job that you feel is worthwhile? Have a partner, children that make you proud of their achievements? Have you survived in this crazy old world and turned out mostly ok?

Well, that's presumably the same for most others here, atheists included. That's because they are just like anyone else.

Or did I miss the point of your question?

plenty
but i dont know that proud isnt exactly how id put it
depends on what you put into life.
i am proud my kids think i am the best parent in the world.
i am proud of my kids, when they display honerable qualities
i am proud when i achieve what i set out to

i guess glad or happy are better words,
proud can have varied interpretations

what are you proud of

The achievements of humans make me very proud. The achievements of my family make me even prouder. They did it themselves not with the help of some mythical sky pixie.

Added: "The Bible says "Pride comes before a fall". "

It doesn't. Proverbs 16:18 says
Pride cometh before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.

And I'm an atheist...

freedom from the religious nuts from the churches that some of us used to attend.

EDIT: Amalia, you make it seem like there are a lot of atheists.

For the few atheists here in the USA there are some who do give to charities. BTW there are alot of atheists who do what they believe is best for humanity, many are in scientific jobs.

I don't call it pride. I call it feeling at peace. Knowing that I think for myself and do my best to seek the truths and not fall into the lies that would corrupt my thinking, knowing that I have respect and zest for life, knowing that I'm doing my best to keep others' negative thoughts from influencing me (just a few things) makes me feel at peace.

Lots of things.. good job, nice car, nice house, good kids, college graduation, hand built project..

I'm not atheist, but why do you make it sound like you have to be a religious person to have a sense of pride? Besides, isn't pride one of the 7 deadly sins?

They are usually just plain proud of themselves.
As no god, no fear. And any little acheivment would be credited to themselves.
