The body rotes in a hole in the ground. Aside from that nobody can answer that question. Not even christians because the bible is not a fact book.

I believe it is impossible to say anything factual about any hypothetical "afterlife". There likely is none, since no one has been able to irrefutably demonstrate conscious experience separate from the human brain. If there is an afterlife, there may be a being or beings who determine our fates. It is my expectation that existence there will make some kind of sense to us. And if there is no one in charge, we will likely operate "there" with the faculties of which we find ourselves in possession.

~~~JJ,,,,, The "afterlife" is the same "place" you were BEFORE you were born. Sometimes referred to as The Ethereal Plane, where the Time/Space Continuum does not exist. After our Life Review we hang for awhile until the Circumstances for our next Incarnation is ready. The we are Reborn for another round of Human Being-ness.
You didn't have to put a definition of afterlife up there, everyone in this forum knows what that is. And I don't know that's the whole thing about being Agnostic.
There's something else...the afterworld
A world of never ending happiness
You can always see the sun
Day or night
So when you call up that shrink in Beverly Hills -
You know the one
Dr. Everything 'll be alright
'Stead of asking Him how much of you're time is left
Ask him how much of you're mind, baby
'Cause in this life things are much harder than in the afterworld
In this life...you're on your own!
And if the elevator tries to bring you down,
go crazy...punch a higher floor!
Just like the religious people, our body become maggot food. Any religious people care to disprove and can their body stay the same? Our energy disperses into particles. I rather not have an afterlife or we come back as atheists to continue to convert religious people.
Love and peace.
I don't think that there is a separate part of us that remains conscious after we die. Death means the end of brain activity, which means the end of personality. Body will rot in the ground or get cremated or whatever, and that's the end of it. Non-existence, just like before birth.
I don't worry about an afterlife, I try to make something out of the life I have, instead of wasting it pondering a 2000 year-old piece of mediocre fiction.
-Do you mean, what will happen to my thoughts and memories, my sense of self? Well, I don't know. There just isn't any information on the subject that I find credible. I appears to be that death will mean a complete end of all thought.
There's no such thing es 'evolutionists'. Evolution like all science is something to be understood , not 'believed in'.
Do you 'believe in' gravity? Does that make you a gravitationist?
There's no after life.
Some people are so scared by this they make up stories about a magical fairy granting people eternal life.
We call these stories 'religion'.
