Being relatively new to Y !A, I keep reading in the R&S section that Christians are completely ignorant. Can some of you that feel this way please give me 2 or 3 specifics? I am curious whether this is a presumed ignorance of a scientific nature, i.e. Evolution/Biology/Astronomy, or History, or in matters of our faith. And please don't just give me a list of URLs that somebody else wrote. What things are we ignorant about that you are not.

Please avoid sweeping generalities, like "you are totally ignorant of history." Rather give me a couple of historical (or scientific/religious) events that you feel Christians are ignorant of. Thank you.

Christians wear crosses and other things that declares who they are. But if I put on my Pentacle, I am told that I will go to a hell that I don't even believe in. Why can't you allow people to be who they are without trying to force them into your mold of what you think they should be? Look at what was done to the American Indians and the African people. their cultures don't even exist anymore except in a diluted form that "good Christian people" have allowed them to have. and Gods Forbid that anyone of an eclectic or Wiccan belief be open about their beliefs. I am me. I can be no other. Will you Christians accept that as I accept you for you?

I can proof it in the Bible, that Jesus had a son and daughter by a woman covented of being a sault, and that she was not a sault it was just a trape that Ceasar had set up for Jesus to fall into and to make Jesus not perfect........

Recently i moved to a new university, and a lot of the students here believe in God, i however, have had bad experiences in talking about beliefs and God with other people, because many of those people do not believe what i do. How do you tell these students that you just arent interested in talking to them about religion and God?

one guy i asked said becuase he found them rather scheming. I can see why christian hate them. But all other religions have no problem and do say that the muslims hate them that just the goverment propaganda saying that all there troubles are caused by the jews.

Satan was supposedly cast out of Heaven due to his insubordinate behavior. Ok, I can at least imagine that....but how did this archangel, Lucifer, become the epitimy of evil for this? I don't find Lucifer's behavior that evil to the point of being cast to Hell, never to return to Heaven, and becoming the leader of all evil spirits until the end of time. Especially when humans are allowed to walk the earth, raping their own, murdering another, and outright denouncing the existence of God. Did God get carried away with punishing his angel?

Consider 1 Timothy 6:14-16

I'm looking for your personal testimony of what brought you to Christ - was it a crisis, a person, a person's testomony, etc. ? I know it's a work of the Spirit through faith in the blood of Christ but what happened to you? How did He bring you into the family of God?

Here is how He said the BofM was translated:
I will now give you a description of the manner in which the Book of Mormon was translated. Joseph Smith would put the seer stone into a hat, and put his face in the hat, drawing it closely around his face to exclude the light; and in the darkness the spiritual light would shine. A piece of something resembling parchment would appear, and on that appeared the writing. One character at a time would appear, and under it was the interpretation in English. Brother Joseph would read off the English to Oliver Cowdery, who was his principal scribe, and when it was written down and repeated to Brother Joseph to see if it was correct, then it would disappear, and another character with the interpretation would appear. Thus the Book of Mormon was translated by the gift and power of God, and not by any power of man.
Is this so? If so why did Smith need the Golden Plates?
