No, but that's mostly due to other Wiccans acting like loons.

Actually it's pretty ironic.
When they portray Jehovah's Witnesses on TV, whether in a sitcom or just talking about us in general, they portray us as very moral people with good values.
One episode that stuck in my mind was a "My wife & Kids" show. On there, he dreamed he had perfect children. And the children were Jehovah's Witnesses. They didn't use drugs, have pre-marital sex, they were well spoken, and so forth.
So, in contrast of what they want to portray, I think my religion is portrayed quite positively.

As a Buddhist living in the United States, I do not get the opportunity to see much of Buddhism in the media. The only time I saw it mentioned was on the today show, where it was mentioned in a very non-biased way, as were all religion on the show.
We do not think of Buddhism as a belief system, as even the Buddha was strongly against blind faith. We look at the Buddha's example of insight and enlightenment as a guide to our own search for answers.

I'm happy to say that mine is. The media pretty much leaves me alone and any mention of anything even remotely resembling my beliefs is in a positive light.

Heck no, thats half the problem, my fellow christians get a bad rap because of the few that choose to be hate mongers. ANd the media feeds that.

I'm trying to think if it has ever been portrayed in the media.
------------------------
It has! Gene Roddenberry's "Andromeda" portrayed Nietzcheans as warlike, untrustworthy and obsessed with family. This is inaccurate and unflattering so I guess the answer is no.

Actually, I don't think I could find a reference to it in the media if I used both hands, a flashlight, and two hunting dogs.
Obscurity isn't such a bad thing.

No. The media is so biased against Catholicism, some people actually believe that sexual abuse by clergy happens only in the Catholic Church.

no. i'm lds (mormon), and people don't understand anything about us. even if there are a few crazy ones who still believe in polygamy , thats all the media focuses on. its quite sad. some people say that mormons did something bad to them, but they dont stop to think that it is the person, not the religion, but they persecute us for that.

all religion is portrayed poorly- because none (sadly) are politically correct enough- it's unfortunate that standing up for your beliefs will never be politically correct- there will never be true religious freedom as long as those wacky liberals are in control
