Basically to be an atheist, one must be without belief in deities. There are different kinds of atheism, though: strong atheism, weak atheism, implicit atheism, explicit atheism, ignosticism and apatheism.

Strong atheism: the belief that no deity exists. It is a form of explicit atheism, meaning that it consciously rejects theism.

Weak atheism: the absence of belief in the existence of deities, without the belief in the non-existence of deities.

Explicit atheism: refection of a belief in a god. This deliberate rejection of theism presupposes familiarity with theistic belief.

Implicit atheism: absence of a belief in god without explicitly rejecting or denying theism. This form does not require familiarity with the idea of a god.

Ignosticism: the view that the question of the existence of God is meaningless because it has no verifiable (or testable) consequences and should therefore be ignored. It is often considered synonymous with theological noncognitivism (the argument that religious language, and specifically words like "god", are not cognitively meaningful).

An apatheist is someone who has little or no interest in deities to point that he or she does not care whether deities exist and, typically, is not interested in deciding whether he or she believes in deities. In other words, an apatheist is someone who lacks belief in gods and lacks interest in gods to the point that he or she doesn't bother to determine whether he or she actually disbelieves in gods.

those are no longer varieties of atheism. The issues you indexed (different than for agnosticism) are some outlooks which ensue to be well matched with, and a super form of times coexist with, atheism. There are no "varieties" of atheism. Atheism is purely no longer believing in a god. additionally, agnostics are no longer atheism, so even of there have been "varieties" of atheism, agnosticism does no longer be one in each of them. the place is this question coming from? it variety of feels to be presupposing the lifestyles of a god, so is it for some religious direction you're taking?

Many people have different atheist philosophies.

Atheism itself doesn't mean anything other than a lack of belief in gods.

The philosophies of that atheist are what set them apart and make them a person.

Well, think about this for a moment. Atheism literally means without god or no god. Just like Polytheism means many gods and monotheism means one god. Just how many different forms of atheism can you have?

Two:
Atheism which is actual atheism.

and

Atheism in which the only god you don't believe in is the Christian god and the only basis for your atheism is the lack of logic in the Christian god concept so your atheism doesn't hold water when confronted by nonChristians.

I call this latter one AYHWHism.

I only see one type of atheism: the lack of belief in a god or gods.

EDIT: I think we understand it, it's just that there's only the one kind. Sorry.

Atheism is a conclusion, doesn't come in forms

I don't believe in an omnipotent creator being, but I do believe in deities which are NOT omnipotent beings, so we Buddhists (by that philosophy) call ourselves "atheist".

(shrug) I don't know what you're looking for beyond that.
