So true,
the nomadic tribes that roamed Europe had no Religion and they killed each other all the time.
Religion is not the cause of war, Evil people that sometimes claim to be following Religion that cause wars IS the problem.
There is nothing in the life, works, or example that Jesus gave us that makes us want or need to kill others.
Peace!

I see your point, but religion has been the reason for war since the beginning. It's hard to say now that without religion, we'd be fighting over hair color.
Religion is where you'll learn that is was God that seperated us. So that being said, what worse could have developed for man, then for us to all of a sudden not be able to understand eachother? You're just asking for a war. So in that sense, it was religion that invented war. So I don't see how religion can take credit for peace.

I agree that religion has been at the root of most wars, but just imagine if there were NO organized religion and people did not feel they had to be civilized for "God's" sake. The human race will always have something to fight about and they always "have to be right" so even though I am not a participant I applaud organized religion for keeping the masses sane.

There are those who stick to an identical faith struggling with over the right strategies to practice and interpret the teachings of their personal faith. There are those who're taught to rework all of us and everyone who would not stick to their faith and their strategies, and many circumstances also they're taught to hate all of us who would not convert or trust the way that they do. So, no. i do not trust peace will be attained by technique of religion, no longer until eventually everybody believed one faith and practised it the very similar way, and doubtless if it replaced into some thing like Buddhism the position the life and worship of gods and goddesses isn't important...yet regrettably, that's no longer gonna ensue each and every time quickly. If human beings ought to easily start up to position self assurance in a unmarried yet another to make the global extra acceptable rather of in accordance with invisible beings and praying that those invisible beings safeguard those who're suffering and in want, then peace will extremely take over the global.

You're right, it is part of the evolution of man. As man evolved in the planes of Africa hundreds of thousands of years ago, we had to evolve bigger brains, early tools, in order to survive, instead of using the evolutionary advantages many species developed.
We have a sense of territorial control hardwired into our brain. When we sense something is a danger to our existence, we calculate ways to destroy it.
Though I think it is safe to say that without religion, the world would be less violent. Peace is only a dream meant for lyrics and fairy tales.

That's partly true, but religion is uniquely divisive as a label. There are other labels, but they are also vanishing. Religion is a persistent and divisive force.
It would be more accurate to say without religion, there would be less war.

Yes, it will be much harder to start wars when you have to take responsibility for your own actions. Rather than blame fantasy creatures. Religions end is coming and not a moment too soon.

You are probably, sadly, correct. But if we didn't have religion then we would at least have one less reason to fight.
